26-year-old Christopher Palacios was charged with domestic assault and theft when he accused his girlfriend of cheating, threatened to kill her if she was, stole her car keys, and then her car when she refused to get in it with him.
On October 21st, Goodlettsville Police officers responded to a domestic issue and theft at Tysons Food Inc. located at 201 Cartwright Street. Dulce Aviles-Oliva stated Christopher Palacios became angry, accused her of cheating, and snatched her phone away from her putting it in his pocket earlier that day.
Per the affidavit, Palacios also threatened to kill and harm Dulce if she ever cheated on him. She requested her phone back that he took from her earlier, but Palacios refused and the couple had to return to their workstations. Dulce decided to speak with the Human Resource office because she was in fear for her life. As she was speaking with them, Palacios stole her backpack from a table outside of the office which contained the car keys to her Lexus ES-350. Dulce exited the office and discovered her bag was gone. She was told Palacios stole the bag, so she went back into the office and reported the incident.
Dulce was still in the office when Palacios demanded she come outside so they could talk and he could return her keys. She agreed as long as there were witnesses present. Once she got outside, Palacios was inside of her vehicle yelling and insisting that she get in. Dulce refused multiple times despite his attempts to get her inside of the vehicle and to communicate with him. He eventually stopped the car and tried to forcefully get her inside of the Lexus. She managed to escape his clutches, but he took her phone in the process and drove off in her vehicle. When police arrived and began to conduct their investigation, Palacios returned and quickly excited when he spotted the police. They followed and were able to pull him over at 150 Long Hollow Pike. Palacios admitted to taking her keys and phone. Dulce’s car was also recovered behind the Shell gas station then returned along with her keys and phone.
Christopher Palacios was arrested and charged with domestic assault and theft of property. He was released on a $16,500 bond.
