27-year-old Romina Khorshidi was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a felon possessing a handgun, drug paraphernalia, and theft after her vehicle tag came back not on file, and the vehicle VIN came back stolen.
On November 12th, a Metro Nashville Police officer was in the area of Bell Road and Brook View Estates Drive. The officer stated a black Ford SUV pulled in front of their vehicle from the center lane and began to head west on Bell Road. When the license plate was searched in their system it came back invalid. According to the affidavit, the SUV was pulled over at 14901 Old Hickory Boulevard. Contact was made with the sole occupant of the vehicle, Romina Khorshidi. She told the police that she was test driving the vehicle for someone and accidentally put the wrong tag on it.
Officers searched the VIN number of the SUV in their system and the vehicle was reported stolen. After being read her Miranda Rights, Romina agreed to speak with the police and stated the only thing that was her property inside of the vehicle was her purse and its contents on the front seat. She told officers there was nothing illegal inside of the vehicle. A search was conducted and they recovered three small baggies containing powdered methamphetamine, one meth rock in a separate bag, three glass pipes, a Phoenix Arms handgun, and $1950 cash in her purse. Officers also found a Smith and Wesson handgun in the center console of the vehicle. Romina stated the money belonged to her mother and the rest of the contents in her purse belonged to someone named Samuel. Romina was also discovered to be a convicted felon when officers performed a records check.
Romina Khorshidi was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a handgun, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft of property. She was later released on a $19,000 bond.
