38-year-old Carl Perry was charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism after police say he was found completely nude inside a residence that had been defaced with fecal matter and trash.
On December 1st, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to 2619 Essex in reference to a possible residential burglary. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the back door of the home was open and Carl Perry was inside completely nude. Police stated there were no signs of forced entry and they believed he entered through an unlocked window or door. Noah Lomnitz stated he and his roommates were away for nine days and when they returned, their home was destroyed.
According to the report, officers discovered every piece of furniture in the residence had been destroyed. There was also fecal matter all over the walls and floors, as well as trash thrown everywhere. All of the food in the residence had been eaten or thrown on the floor and left to rot. The estimated value of the damage done to the residence was around $9,000. When officers attempted to question Perry, he refused to speak with them and cursed at them.
Carl Perry was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
