20-year-old Johna Foxx was charged with domestic assault after she reportedly clung to her ex-girlfriend’s car window so she could hit her and threw her service dog out of the vehicle.
On November 16th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a domestic call at 801 Vine Street. Upon arrival, the police were informed that Dominica Lewis was repeatedly called by her ex-girlfriend, Johna Foxx, because Foxx wanted her straightener back.
According to the affidavit, Lewis told Foxx she would meet her at her work and she saw her pacing near a stop sign as she turned on Vine Street from 6th Avenue South. As Lewis rolled down her window to give her the straightener, Foxx reached into the car and started hitting her. Lewis then drove to her work with Foxx hanging from the window and when she stopped at 801 Vine Street, Foxx opened the driver’s door and continued assaulting her.
It was reported that Foxx pulled her hair and threw Lewis’ service dog and other belongings out of the car. Lewis was able to separate from Foxx, locked herself inside her vehicle, and Foxx fled on foot toward Ewing Avenue.
On December 9th, Johna Foxx was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was released on a $3,000 bond.
