30-year-old Kristy Regis, an aspiring social media influencer and self-described Trump Patriot, faces multiple charges after Metro says she repeatedly kicked the police officer who arrested her.
Metro Police responded to 803 Division Street at 10 p.m. Monday after they were alerted to an intoxicated female and male getting aggressive with security at the location. Officers made contact with Kristy Regis (booked as “Christi Doe”), who police say was acting erratically, running up and down the halls of the 8th floor, screaming, and refusing to listen to commands to lower her voice as she was causing a disturbance. Police noted she was intoxicated to care for herself, and the male she was with was too intoxicated to care for her in his current state.
After several minutes of the continued disturbance, and her refusal to stop, they decided to place her into custody for public intoxication, at which time she tried to walk away and then went limp with her body weight. Officers eventually got her into custody and into the elevator, at which time they say she assaulted Officer Philip Claibourne, Jr., by kicking him in the right shin and knee multiple times.
Kristy Regis recently, who calls herself ”PRESIDENT-ELECT KRISTY REGIST” on Instagram, recently posted photos of her in front of a Trump Flag, stating “If you’re not a patriot you can unfollow me” – after the insurrection in Washington D.C., a user commented “Still proud?” to which she replied “hell yeah”. Below are also photos of her Instagram profile, and of her story the night of her arrest:
Kristy Regis (booked as Christi Doe) was arrested and charged with assault of an officer, public intoxication, and resisting arrest at 11:20 p.m. She was released on a $2100 bond at 3:51 p.m. Thursday to a Division Street Address (Crossroads at the Gulch). She is scheduled to appear in court in May, and is represented by Kyle Morris, a public defender.
