DUI: Woman found pantless & passed out behind wheel of her car at Green Hills bar — Madeline Beck

#GreenHills: 24-year-old Maddie Beck was found pantsless and unconscious, locked inside her car with the keys in the ignition, in the parking lot of Joe’s Place bar at 2 a.m. Monday morning. Once awakened, she was reportedly belligerent to officers and medics, and only admitted to drinking a single beer before demanding her lawyer. Her bartender, Brianna Scott, told police she drank two beers and two shots. She is free on pre-trial release.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On 09-27-2021 at approximately 0200 hrs., officers were dispatched to 2227 Bandywood Dr. (Joe’s Place parking lot) in response to a medical call. Nashville Fire Department (NFD) called and stated that there was a female who was unconscious inside of a red Hyundai with the doors locked. The female, who was later identified as Madeline Beck, was not responsive to NFD.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with NFD personnel. The defendant was observed sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with the door open. NFD said that they believed the defendant was intoxicated. Captain Alex Scott of NFD engine 20 stated that NFD personnel took the keys out of the ignition and laid them on the floorboard of the vehicle. The defendant was in control of the vehicle.

NFD further stated that when they arrived on scene, the defendant was sitting in the car half naked with no pants on. Officers spoke with the defendant and requested her to performed standard field sobriety tests (SFST’s). The defendant eventually performed the horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN) test and performed poorly indicating six clues of impairment. The defendant ultimately refused to perform the walk and turn test and one-leg stand test. She began walking the line on her own accord, but she refused to listen to the instructions of the test.

The defendant was uncooperative and argumentative during the entire DUI investigation. The defendant was uneasy on her feet, omitted the odor of alcohol from her breath, and her eyes were watery and red. During the investigation, she began to cry demanded to see a lawyer repeatedly. The defendant admitted to drinking one Michelob Ultra Light beer.

Officers spoke to the bartender of Joe’s Place (Brianna Scott). She stated that the defendant arrived at approximately 2328 hrs. and drank two beers and two shots. She stated that she left at 0130 hrs. The defendant was read implied consent and refused to sign and refused to provide a chemical test (breath). The defendant was read her Miranda rights.

The defendant was extremely belligerent during the investigation. The defendant refused to sign a no tow form to park and secure her vehicle. Her vehicle was towed and impounded.
