32-year-old Nashville corporate healthcare attorney Rachel E. Taylor blew nearly double the legal limit, a 0.151 BAC, after a crash on I-40 late Wednesday night. She reportedly told officers she was attempting to follow the directions from her GPS when a vehicle cut her off and she over-corrected, causing her to lose control and crash into a guard rail. ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On Oct 10, 2021: I was requested to respond to the scene of a motor vehicle crash with a possible DUI driver. On the scene I spoke with Officer T. Meskers, Officer Meskers stated that he had conducted the SFSTs on the driver of the vehicle, Ms. Rachel Taylor. Officer Meskers stated that he saw multiple indicators of intoxication during the SFSTs and read Ms. Taylor the implied consent.
I administered Ms. Taylor was given the breath test was given on the scene; the result of the breath test was .151 at 0021. During my contact with Ms. Taylor, I noted the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person and slurred speech. Ms. Taylor said that she was driving in the middle lane of I-40 E attempting to follow her GPS to get home when a vehicle cut her off and she overcorrected causing her to lose control of her vehicle and then crash into the guard rail on the left side of the road. Ms. Taylor has no prior DUI in Davidson County and has a valid TN DL.
