26-year-old Luke Countryman was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Sunday morning after police encountered him arguing and cursing at his girlfriend, causing a drunken disturbance on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Police attempted to end the disturbance by getting each party to go their separate ways, with his girlfriend getting in a cab. Countryman refused and continued to be a disturbance and was drunkenly stumbling near the road. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
Countryman was previously charged with DUI in 2018 after he fell asleep behind the wheel in a McDonald’s drive-thru on Nolensville Pike and blew a 0.144 BAC.

The defendant was instructed to go home and his girlfriend was to get in a cab to prevent any further arguing. The defendant was extremely intoxicated and unsteady on his feet. The defendant was a danger to himself as he was stumbling close to the road. The defendant was placed under arrest for public intoxication. |
