DUI: Jameiko Shaw drives Jeep Wrangler into the woods

24-year-old Jameiko Shaw had a single-vehicle accident where she drove her black Jeep Wrangler off the roadway on I-24 East near mile marker 58.2 and into the woods on February 17th. Officers arrived and observed NFD personnel attempting to safely get Shaw out of the driver’s seat. Shaw denied medical attention as she showed signs of impairment. They asked for her driver’s credentials, and she told them it was in her Jeep, even though it was later found in the wallet in her hands. She told them she was coming from her home in north Nashville near TSU but did not know the address. Officers transported her to the Panera Bread parking lot to take sobriety tests, and she performed poorly. Shaw consented to a blood draw after being informed of implied consent and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Qaadir Sainteloit evades police in white Mercedes-Benz, caught with Glock-27

20-year-old Qaadir Sainteloit was one of three occupants in a white Mercedes-Benz that fled from a traffic stop on Shelby Avenue Thursday night. During the traffic stop, Air One monitored and observed them drive off, back into a parking spot on Foster Street, and run on foot. After a brief pursuit, Sainteloit was apprehended with his two co-defendants; he also had a Glock 27, stating that is the reason he ran from them. He also had a small amount of marijuana, denied being the driver, and could not recall who the driver was. Sainteloit was taken into custody for two counts of evading arrest.

Charles Thomas jailed after assault of girlfriend, Dawn Rix; drags her down hallway

59-year-old Charles Thomas was involved in a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Dawn Rix, at Cooper Ter. on October 29th. Officers were dispatched to Sarah Marsolek’s, Rix’s neighbor, house and spoke with Rix, who stated that Thomas came over to her house to have a couple of beers, and they talked about where they were in terms of their relationship while he showered. Then, a verbal altercation ensued as Thomas began to make abusive comments toward Rix, and she threw a makeup bag over the shower curtain. Thomas exited the shower and pushed Rix from behind, causing her to fall forward into the living room while stating, “You don’t know who you’re fucking messing with.”

Thomas then reportedly grabbed Rix by the collar of her sweater and dragged her down the hallway before letting her go and getting dressed in the bathroom. Rix was picking coins that fell during the altercation and handed them to Thomas before he threw them at her while he stated, “Use this for your rent.” Rix was standing in the front doorway when Thomas told her, “If you don’t move, I’m going to punch you in the face.” Then, Thomas left for work as Rix went to Marsolek’s house. Officers observed injuries consistent with Rix’s story as Marsolek advised them that she called the police on her behalf. Thomas was arrested on October 30th for domestic assault.

Anaya Brewington charged in assault of sister

38-year-old Anaya Brewington was jailed on October 1st following an altercation at her residence with her sister Denisha Brewingston in which Anaya and her 13-year-old daughter repeatedly struck Denisha. This follows arguments between the sisters about Anaya overstaying her welcome at Denisha’s apartment. Despite her sister asking her to move from a hallway, Denisha was attempting to hang a sign on her door and refused to step aside. When Anaya was moving past, Denisha still refused to move, and then the altercation began.

When police arrived, they noticed wounds on Denisha like a bruise on her arm, a welt on the back of her neck, and her head was tender to the touch. Anaya had wounds as well, such as bruising on her face, a scratch on her arm, and a bite mark on her chest. The officer remarks that bite marks are often self-defense wounds. Due to this, it’s alleged that Anaya was the primary aggressor, so she was taken into custody and booked.
