DUI: Kenneth Moore drives on 2 flat tires, repeatedly asks police to kill him

27-year-old Kenneth Moore drove with two completely flat tires on the morning of February 26th. Officers observed this and initiated a traffic stop. After stopping, Moore exited his vehicle, grabbed an air pump, and attempted to fill his tires, disregarding the officers pulling him over. Moore showed multiple signs of intoxication as officers asked him how much he had to drink that night, causing him to become angry. Then, Moore made an angry face and clenched his fists, which officers believed indicated he was about to attempt to fight them, so they detained him. After officers Mirandized Moore, he kept asking them to kill him, stating that he wanted them to “Put a bullet in my head,” and said, “This would be so easy if you just f*cking kill me.” Moore started yelling at officers when they placed him in the back of the patrol car. When officers informed Moore of implied consent, he replied, “Here is what I am going to do. I am going to attempt to escape, so you shoot me in the head.” During a subsequent search of Moore’s vehicle, officers located four cans of Natty Ice beer, a small vodka shooter, and a half-empty vodka bottle underneath the driver’s seat. Moore was taken into custody for an open-container violation, driving under the influence, and implied consent.
