Early Sunday morning, officers arrested Eddie William Crawford and charged him with Felony Assault, Aggravated – Deadly Weapon – Int/Kn (39-13-102(a)(1)(A)*10). Crawford admits, from a police affidavit, that he was upset with his girlfriend for going out and wanted her to come/stay home. While she was in the passenger seat of her vehicle, on 7th St in East Nashville, he rammed his vehicle into hers, then exited his vehicle, and pulled his girlfriend out of her vehicle and began to assault her. Bystanders notified MNPD who arrested Crawford, and filed the police report below. Crawford is out on a $3500 bond, and has a court date of 08/21 – which he may or may not show up for, according to his social media posts, also below.
OFFICERS WERE DISPATCHED TO 784 S 7TH STREET AROUND 0210 HOURS. THE VICTIM AND THE SUSPECT ARE IN DATING RELATIONSHIP. THE VICTIM STATED THAT SHE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF HER VEHICLE PARKED ON S 7TH STREET, WHEN THE SUSPECT RAN HIS VEHICLE INTO THE BACK HER HER VEHICLE. THE VICTIM STATED THAT THE SUSPECT THEN GOT OUT OF HIS VEHICLE, PULLED HER OUT OF HER VEHICLE AND BEGAN ASSAULTING HER. SHE STATED THAT SHE BEGAN TO FIGHT BACK TO DEFEND HERSELF. BYSTANDERS NOTIFIED POLICE OF THE INCIDENT. THE SUSPECT STATED THAT HE DID RUN HIS VEHICLE INTO THE VICTIM’S VEHICLE BECAUSE HE WAS MAD THAT SHE WAS GOING OUT AND WANTED HER TO COME HOME. THE WITNESS CONFIRMED THE VICTIM’S ALLEGATIONS. THE VICTIM HAD NO VISIBLE INJURY. THE SUSPECT HAD MINOR SCRATCHES. THE SUSPECT WAS THEN TAKEN TO BOOKING WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
