Dear Chris O’Quinn, NO Means NO. Even when your husband says it.
Just before 6AM on New Years Day, Chris O’Quinn was at the Hotel Preston with his husband, when the husband had to make a call for help to police, for domestic assault. Officers arrived to find the victim, his husband, with an “extensive” amount of blood on his face.
The victim reports to police that the two were initially involved in a verbal argument in their hotel room for NYE. Chris O’Quinn apologized for the argument, and then asked the victim to remove his pants, and the victim refused. Chris O’Quinn then got angry and sat on the victim’s back and continued to ask the victim to take his pants off, and the victim continued to refuse his advances.
The victim (his husband) then stated to police that he attempted to push him off his back, and that is when Chris O’Quinn turned to face his husband and began to punch him several times, causing a cut to the victim’s forehead. The victim attempted to punch back to defend himself.
Chris O’Quinn admitted to MNPD that he did sit on the victim, and did repeatedly request him to remove his pants, though he claims the victim threw the first punch. Police found to visible injury to the defendant’s back, and due to the overwhelming evidence, ruled Chris O’Quinn as the primary aggressor, and took him into custody charging him with domestic assault (TCA 39.13.111). Bond was set at $2500, and O’Quinn will appear in court on 02/01/2018.
