Just two days after Valentines Day, someone wasn’t feeling the love in the Short household. According to a police report, local 61 year old realtor, Lorenzo Short Sr., “placed his hands on his wife’s neck and face and repeatedly smashed her head against the headboard of the bed” when she brought up the topic of his mistress during a midnight conversation.
The victim stated that on 2/16/2018 around 12:00 AM, she and Lorenzo Short Sr. got into an argument when the victim brought up the topic of his mistress. This lead to the him being verbally abusive towards the victim and eventually causing him to physically assault her. According to the victim, the suspect placed his hands on the victim’s neck and face and repeatedly smashed her head against the headboard of the bed.
The victim also stated that after this occurred she had left the room and in doing so, inadvertently left her cell phone inside the bedroom. The suspect had locked the bedroom door barring access to the bedroom and therefore she was unable to call police until he left for work. Officers prosecuted based on the physical injuries on the victim’s neck and face which consisted of obvious hand/finger marks on the right side of her neck and abrasions to the bridge and tip of her nose.
Short was booked on the charge of domestic assault, and given a $2500 bond which he posted via Raider bonding, and was released to his Indian Sumner Dr address. He will appear in court on 02/26/2018.
