Lameka Dickerson, 40, was arrested Friday night and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, after police say she threw a steak knife at her daughter inside their home.
According to the 16-year-old victim, the two verbally began arguing and the argument escalated when her mother threw a black steak knife at her, and stated the knife would be found behind the front entry door of the residence.
A witness corroborates those same details, and officers located the steak knife lying on the floor behind the front door, and seized it as evidence.
Lameka Dickerson tells Scoop: Nashville that the argument began when she found her daughter getting high while being live on social media, and her daughter swung at her. Shortly before Dickerson was arrested, she posted on social media “this is one jail trip I have no problem taking”. There were no injuries noted from the incident.
Dickerson was held on a 12-hour domestic violence hold, then posted a $10,000 bond via Elite, and will return to court on 07/09/18.
