Metro Nashville Police arrested Jeremy Kilbourn, 34, late Monday night, charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, after he struck his mother with a half-full beer can, because she did not remove the meat from the bones of the ribs they were having for dinner.
Police were dispatched to the Gwen Drive home in response to a possible domestic disturbance, and made contact with the mother, who told police that she and her son, Jeremy Kilbourn, were in an argument because she did not take the meat off the bones of the ribs she cooked for dinner.
The mother stated that her 34-year-old son was intoxicated and began to wave his can of beer around, then threw the half-full beer at her, striking her in the chest, covering her with the beer. A witness confirmed the mother’s account of events, and Jeremy told officers he was angry and had indeed thrown a beer at his mother. He was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault with a deadly weapon(beer can). He remains jailed on a $5,000 bond.
