Metro police responded to a shoplifting incident at a Nashville Target store, to find the suspect masturbating inside his car, still parked in the parking lot, just before 11 a.m.
Police say they arrived at the Target store at 6814 Charlotte Pike, and located the vehicle listed in the text of the call for service, only to find 38-year-old Xavier Sinclair Gray actively masturbating inside the car, observed by MNPD Officer Benjamin Cantrell as he approached the passenger side window.
Gray was taken into custody, and charged with Indecent exposure, criminal impersonation, and outstanding warrants for vandalism and theft of property. He is held in lieu of an $8,000 bond. Gray has prior convictions for assault, attempted especially aggravated robbery, aggravated robbery, and was tried for a 1999 murder.
