24-year-old Antonio Turner was charged with possession of a firearm with intent, carrying a weapon on school property, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia after he admitted to having marijuana and a gun in his car upon questioning by police.
On March 31st, police observed three unauthorized vehicles located within the indoor practice facility parking lot. Upon arrival, police smelled the heavy odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicles. Contact was made with the drivers inside the facility. Antonio Turner advised officers that he was the owner of the black BMW outside. Officers asked all parties if they had any drugs or weapons on them or inside of their vehicles.
Antonio admitted to having marijuana in his vehicle and police found 88.4 grams of marijuana in a purple and yellow backpack. Also located in the bag were zip lock bags and a scale. Antonio also alerted officers to an additional bag of marijuana, that contained 8.9 grams, along with a Taurus Millennium 45 caliber handgun that was fully loaded with one in the chamber, located under the driver’s seat. Antonio did not have a gun permit and was given a trespassing warning.
Antonio Turner was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm with intent, carrying a weapon on school property, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
