67-year-old Cordelia Faye Williams is charged with the domestic assault of her daughter, Amanda Lou Fowler, after reportedly assaulting her daughter with a boom. Court records allege Willaims was upset that her daughter was giving away her money to “some man she has been seeing” and assaulted her with a broom while she was sweeping the hallway. Police documented injuries on the victim’s left hand and transported Williams to the Metro Nashville Jail, where she was charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. She remains jailed in lieu of a $1,500 bond as of Christmas morning.

| On 12/22/2021 police Responded to 1830 Spring Branch Dr apt 308 regarding a domestic disturbance call for service. Police made contact with the Victim, and she stated that the Defendant who is her mother, they both had a verbal argument about money. The Defendant stated that she found out the victim gave away her money to some man that she has been seeing. The defendant stated that she was in the hallway sweeping with the broom and hit the edge of the bed with the broom stick. The victim stated that the defendant hit her on the left hand with the broom. Police did observe visible injuries on the victim s left hand, and the defendant was taken into custody at this time for Domestic Assault. |
