26-year-old Matthew Wilson ran a stop sign on French Street in Goodlettsville as he passed a police officer. the officer turned around to initiate a traffic stop, and Wilson continued to drive and turned into the parking lot of the police station. Wilson then exited his vehicle without acknowledging the officer behind him and began to walk away. The officer caught up with Wilson, who reeked of alcohol and admitted to having “a few beers” prior to driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Two cold empty Michelob Ultra bottles and 3 empty Michelob cans were found inside the vehicle.
Matthew Robert Wilson of Rose St in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on March 31st, charged with driving under the influence, implied consent violation, and an open container. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
