Jeurmell Hendrix robs ACE Cash Express… after applying for a loan with his personal information

29-year-old Jeurmell Hendrix filled out an application for a payday loan at ACE Cash Express on Charlotte Pike in August of 2019 with his actual name, social security number, address, bank card information, and phone number. When he learned his application was denied, Hendrix sat on a bench in the lobby and stated he felt faint. An employee brought him a bottle of water, and as she opened the secure door, Hendrix forced his way inside the secure area, where he led her to the safe while making comments and motions indicating he had a gun. He kept repeating, “Don’t make me do it!” while his hand was in his waistband when she explained she could not open the safe. He eventually led her to the cash drawers, which he emptied. Hendrix fled with approximately $4,000 in cash, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was jailed on that warrant this week.
