Shanniece Kodjo charged with possessing a handgun while intoxicated at a gas station

Police responded to a gas station on Old Harding Pike on March 29th and met with 32-year-old Shanniece Kodjo, who called them to the locations. The reason for her call wasn’t immediately apparent in court records, however, police say when they arrived she admitted she had consumed at least two alcoholic drinks and had a slight odor of alcohol about her. She also stated she owned a handgun, and it was with her in the vehicle. She gave consent for officers to retrieve it, at which point she was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun while under the influence.

23-year-old James Scott II was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession with a handgun, and resisting arrest when he was identified by the man he shot and ran from police after they noticed a weapon in his pocket.

20-year-old Kesean Smith was charged with evading arrest, felon in possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon when police approached him based on him “displaying characteristics consistent with an armed individual”. Smith ran from police and when they caught him, they found a handgun in the immediate area.
