Shaunqueen Leatherman, 23, is charged with domestic assault after police say she tried to yank her boyfriend of his vehicle, and assaulted him, when he arrived to assist with her flat tire.

Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to Lifeway Plaza on May 14th for a call of a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival, they found the girlfriend, Shaunqueen Leatherman, who told police she was just in a physical altercation with her boyfriend, who had since left the scene to deescalate the situation.

The boyfriend (victim) was located just down the road, and stated he received a phone call from his girlfriend, Shaunqueen, asking for his help due to her vehicle having a flat tire. When he arrived to her location in downtown Nashville, she immediately approached his vehicle and attempted to yank him out of it, and when he refused to exit, she is said to have grabbed him by the hair and began to punch him in the face and scratch him. He was eventually able to flee both the vehicle, and the scene.
