Son pepper-sprayed by Father as son attacks family during argument

18-year-old Paul Lee is free on a $2,000 cash bond after police say he attacked his mother and father during an argument. His father deployed pepper spray on his child, stating he was in fear for the safety of his family.

Metro Nashville Police responded to Wallace Lane on October 15th, in response to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned that Paul Lee, 18, lived at the residence with this mother, father, and sister. The other residents had run out of the house to call the police, after some of them were attacked by young Paul Lee.

The father states he asked his son, Paul Lee, to leave the home after he was causing a disturbance. Paul left the home but soon returned to attempt to get a cell phone charger from his mother, at which time he is alleged to have to punched his mother in her face with a closed fist. His father attempted to intervene, but Paul continued to be aggressive toward his mother and father, and his father eventually deployed pepper spray on the 18-year-old, telling officers he was in fear of both his and his family’s, safety. Paul lee then continued to attack his father, striking him on the head after the pepper spray was deployed, causing a cut and bruise on the father’s head.

Paul Lee, 18, was booked into the Metro Jail, charged with two counts of domestic assault. He is free on a $2,000 cash bond.
