Nashville driver found with needle in fetal position on floorboard after wreck, per report

27-year-old Brice Crabtree was charged with unlawful use of paraphernalia and driving under the influence after officers found him in a “fetal position on the passenger side floorboard” following a vehicle collision.

On April 2nd, Brice Crabtree was involved in a vehicle accident and officers noted he was displaying signs of impairment. According to the affidavit, officers found Crabtree “in the fetal position on the passenger side floorboard”. A needle was found on the floorboard that Crabtree claimed was his. Authorities noted the scent of alcohol, bloodshot watery eyes, and unsteadiness on his feet. Crabtree admitted to being the driver and told officers he “has struggled with heroin use.”

He did not fare well in sobriety tests and consented to a blood draw but quickly changed his mind. Officers also mentioned that Crabtree was fidgety and could not keep still numerous times but that he nodded off after the blood draw. He has two previous arrests for DUI in Rutherford County and Pigeon Forge, TN.

Brice Crabtree was arrested and charged with unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of an intoxicant. His bond was set at $6,000.
