24-year-old Jaurez Montgomery was charged with theft of property, evading arrest, and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after he ran from police in a stolen car.
On October 14th, Metro Nashville Police attempted to stop a stolen car occupied by Jaurez Montgomery, and three other passengers reported to be under the age of eighteen.
The car refused to pull over for the police and led them on a chase before finally coming to a stop near South 5th Street and Russell Street. Jaurez and the three juveniles fled on foot and were apprehended shortly thereafter.
Jaurez Montgomery was arrested and charged with evading arrest, theft of property, and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is currently jailed in lieu of an $85,000 bond.
