Man pulls knife on someone to let them know he does not “want any trouble”

62-year-old Willie Howard was charged with aggravated assault and contraband in a penal institution after he pulled a knife on a man, told him that he did not “want any trouble”, and was then found with a “green leafy substance” while being booked.

On October 13th, witnesses saw Willie Howard pull out a knife and tell Timothy Davis not to come near him. According to the affidavit, Davis and witnesses were spoken to separately but their stories were the same.

Upon arrival, Howard advised police he had a pocket knife, then slowly approached, and gave it to officers. Howard stated Davis yelled and cursed at him, so he pulled the knife to let him know he did not “want any trouble.” Howard advised police he did not threaten Davis, but police informed him that he did not have to verbally threaten him to be charged.

Willie Howard was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and contraband in a penal institution. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
