DUI: Shemar Robinson nearly hits taxi, points guns at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar security

21-year-old Shemar Robinson was spotted driving recklessly and pointing weapons at security at the Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar on Broadway on July 22nd. Police officers were near the Tin Roof on Broadway when they saw Robinson driving at high speed and approaching the intersection at 4th Avenue South. They also observed Robinson veering off the road and almost hitting a taxi van in the parking lane as he drove through the intersection. Robinson then stopped at Jason Aldean’s Rooftop Bar, where officers saw him getting out of his vehicle and yelling at the bar’s security staff. The officers approached Robinson, suspecting that he was armed. Robinson then revealed two firearms and progressed towards the security staff. Observing Robinson’s body language, the officers drew their weapons, at which point he stopped and complied with the officers. Robinson informed the officers that his girlfriend could drive his vehicle so it wouldn’t be towed. Robinson then admitted that he was the only one intoxicated and that she was sober so she could drive the vehicle. Robinson was then taken into custody for possession of a handgun while under the influence, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Tabitha Hannon jailed after telling apartment security she has cocaine & magic mushrooms

26-year-old Tabitha Hannon went up to security and told them she had drugs on her at the Lea Avenue Central Apartments in the early hours of July 8th. Security alerted the authorities and advised them of what she had told security. Additionally, they said Hannon had 3.7 grams of cocaine and three psilocybin mushrooms. Then, when officers spoke with Hannon, she was unable to tell them what was happening due to her impairment. Hannon was then taken into custody for two counts of simple possession.

DUI: John Kettelle found sleeping in his truck at Bridgestone Parking Garage

24-year-old John Dunste Kettelle was found sleeping behind the wheel in his truck at the Bridgestone Parking Garage on June 29th. When officers arrived, they located Kettelle passed out with his keys in the ignition. Officers woke him up and had him exit the vehicle, during which they noticed he reeked of booze. Then, Kettelle stated he had been drinking with his friends downtown and decided to go to his car for a nap. He took sobriety tests and performed poorly before allowing officers to search his vehicle, where they found multiple beer cans inside a grocery bag on the backseat and in the truck bed. Kettelle refused to provide a chemical sample, so he was later taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.

DUI: Rebecca Oravec found sleeping behind the wheel after drinking 3 Bud Lights #StillWasted

50-year-old Rebecca Sue Oravec was found sleeping behind the wheel of her car in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Publix Parking Garage in the early hours of May 19th. This incident is Oravec’s second DUI conviction, with her first being in 2022. When officers arrived, they approached and noticed Oravec’s keys were in the ignition. Officers also noticed that she had an open Bud Light beer can in the cup holder before knocking on the window and waking her up. Oravec rolled down the windows to speak with officers, which is when they noticed she reeked of alcohol. This prompted officers to ask her to perform sobriety tests, which she consented to. Oravec could not complete the one-leg stand or walk-and-turn tests, telling officers, “I can’t keep my balance; I am going to fall over!” Officers were then permitted to search her vehicle, where she told them, “There should be three cans.” Under Miranda, Oravec admitted to drinking the three Bud Lights and then agreed to provide a blood sample. Officers then discovered her prior DUI conviction from 2022. Oravec was transported to Nashville General Hospital and was taken into custody for driving under the influence-2nd offense.
