Paulina Ceja Sanchez found with packaged heroin and marijuana during traffic stop

21-year-old Paulina Ceja Sanchez was in the passenger seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street in downtown Nashville on January 16. During a subsequent traffic stop, officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. In a zipper bag which she claimed, officers located 13.5 grams of marijuana and individually packaged capsules with a folded piece of paper in each, which contained 0.9 grams of heroin. A loaded Sig P365 was also located, along with scales and a grinder.

Former John Overton teacher Travis Prince indicted for solicitation of statutory rape of student

32-year-old former John Overton High School math teacher Travis Boyd Prince has been released on his own recognizance after a Davidson County Grand Jury indicted him on four counts of solicitation of statutory rape of a student. Metro Nashville Public Schools says Prince resigned in late July when the school system was made aware of the allegations during the police investigation. The student moved after the alleged incidents occurred in 2021.

Man w/history of drug arrests found @ John Overton HS, bypassed security & sign-in

Thursday during lunch at John Overton High School in Nashville, a 20 year old man (non-student) with multiple prior arrests for cocaine and other drug related charges and theft was found just hanging out in the cafeteria with students, bypassing all security and sign-in points at the school. According to a police affidavit, 20 year old Hansey Emmanuel Sanchez was eventually noticed loitering in the cafeteria of John Overton High School during lunch, and they noted that he was not a student. Student arrested w/2 weapons at John Overton High School Monday

On Monday, an 18 year old male student was arrested on a felony charge after he was found to have brought both a taser and a knife to John Overton High School. He did deploy the taser inside the school. Yesterday (03/19) morning at John Overton High School in Nashville during the 8:30 AM class change, a teacher overheard what sounded like a taser being deployed near a group of boys that were standing near her classroom.
