Charles England charged with assault of ‘Nurse’ at Metro General Hospital

Darlene Elizabeth Hopkins told police she had been assaulted by a patient on June 28th. Officers arrived and she explained she explained she was providing care to 29-year-old Charles England at Metro General Hospital when he kept “sliding down the bed to avoid her and slid all the way to the floor.” She says while she was attempting to get him back into the bed he swung his arms wildly and slapped her. She says she was also kicked by England. Though he was charged with “assault on a nurse”, Scoop: Nashville discovered Hopkins was not a nurse, but a CNA, and her license to practice expired in March of 2021 according to the state licensing board.

Man swallows drugs retrieved from his anus, returned to hospital to await their second exit.

Nashville Police see Kadeem Wilkins stuff drugs into his anus. After he resists a strip search, MNPD gets a warrant & takes him to Metro General for a doctor to execute the search warrant on his anus, but the doctor refuses. He’s then taken to jail to be booked, and on the way he removes the drugs from his anus. During a DCSO search, the baggies from his anus are discovered, at which point he swallows at least one, and has to be returned to the hospital for ingesting the drugs from his anus, to await their next exit.

Woman who kicked MNPD Officer in testicles has now bitten another officer’s finger

Tanesha Clay, who we covered last year when she kicked an MNPD Officer in the testicles twice, sending him to the hospital, has now assaulted another officer, biting his middle finger last night during an attempt to arrest her, and refusing to let go. NFD eventually offered to sedate her so she could be transported.
