47-year-old Rogelio Trevino is charged with vandalism and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after police say he chased a group home manager out of the residence and around a vehicle several times while threatening him with a samurai sword. The chase ended when Trevino tired out of the chase. The victim, Jeffery Starnes, told police the argument started after Trevino was not taking his medication properly and he confronted him about the issue. A door to the group home was damaged during the chase.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
The defendant lives in a group home at 831 Neelys Bend Rd, Madison, TN, Davidson County. Today he was sitting in his bedroom and was confronted by the house manager Jeffery Starnes. Mr. Starnes does not live on site but visits almost daily. This morning Mr. Starnes noticed that the defendant had not taken any of his prescribed medication. He confronted him about this fact and the defendant became irate towards Mr. Starnes. The defendant grabbed a nearby samurai sword and began to chase Mr. Starnes out the door of the residence. He continued to follow him outside and chased him around his vehicle several times until tiring out. The defendant then went back inside the residence and Mr. Starnes called MNPD. The defendant admitted to chasing Mr. Starnes with the sword when asked what happened. In addition, there was a witness to the incident and some damage to the front door where the defendant his it with the samurai sword.
