DUI: Woman admits to drinking champagne before crashing into dumpster — Emerson Claire Irwin arrested

25-year-old Emerson Claire Irwin was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Sunday morning, charged with DUI. Court records show she admitted to drinking champagne before crashing her vehicle into a dumpster on Meridian street in Nashville, just two blocks from her home. She refused all medical assistance and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She is charged with DUI, violation of the implied consent law, and is free on pre-trial release.

Geraldine Smith was charged with possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, and public intoxication after officers were called because she was spitting on people. When they found her she was swigging out of a champagne bottle, had 22.1 grams of weed, and a “peace-pipe”.

Valentine J Law was at the DoubleTree hotel bar downtown on Thursday night, where security states she drank an entire bottle of champagne while at the hotel bar/lobby area. She was so intoxicated, that once they realized she was not an overnight guest of the hotel, police were called to check on her welfare.
