James Steele passes out drunk in The Omni Hotel, tells police he’s in Texas

27-year-old James Patrick Steele caused a disturbance at The Omni Hotel on Representative John Lewis Way South in the early hours of July 26th. Responding officers located Steele sleeping on the lobby sofa and tried waking him, but he was unresponsive. Then, after they attempted a “sternum rub,” he started moving but did not fully open his eyes. Police grabbed Steele’s left arm and tried sitting him upright, to which he responded by pulling his arm away. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, officers performed a stronger “sternum rub” and raised their voices to wake him. Then, when asked where he was, Steele stated he was in Dallas, Texas. After officers informed him that he was in Nashville, Tennessee, his reply was, “Well sh*t.” Steele was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Eugene McClough falls down stairs, urinates on wall while disturbing police investigation near Hilton Hotel

28-year-old Eugene McClough interfered with a police investigation near the Hilton Hotel on 4th Avenue South in the early hours of July 22nd. Officers were looking into a domestic-related incident when McClough was being disorderly, so they asked him to leave the area. He responded by being loud towards them and hindering them from making an arrest. During their interaction, they noticed he showed signs of impairment to the point of falling down a set of stairs. Once he got up, he urinated on a nearby wall, and officers detained him for the occurrence. As he was detained, he became resistive, stiffening up and refusing to get into their patrol car. McClough was then taken into custody for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Jesse Armenta becomes aggressive with employees at Hyatt Place after drinking

25-year-old Jesse Armenta caused a disturbance at the 3rd Avenue South Hyatt Place around 2:20 a.m. on July 21st. Police were called to the establishment and advised that an intoxicated individual, later identified as Armenta, was becoming aggressive with hotel employees. Responding officers located and spoke with him, during which he stated he was in Manchester, TN. Officers noticed Armenta was visibly intoxicated, reeking of alcohol. During their interaction, he could not tell them where he was staying or if he was with anyone in town. Officers deemed Armenta a danger to himself and tried to detain him. However, he could not stand independently or walk straight and nearly fell over while being escorted to their patrol car. Armenta was then taken into custody for public intoxication.

Allison Golata resists arrest after chomping boyfriend’s back during argument

27-year-old Allison Golata had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Austin Patrick Meeks, near Kasa the Gulch Nashville on July 20th. Responding officers could not find the couple but spoke with the complainant, who stated she witnessed Meeks punch Golata to the ground. The police later located Golata and Meeks on 11th Avenue attempting to enter an Uber. Officers then separated and interviewed them. Golata told officers they had an argument where they were pushing. She added that she was unsure why they were arguing. After several tries, officers could not get information from her because she kept telling them, “I don’t really know what happened” and “I don’t remember falling to the ground.”

Then, officers spoke with Meeks, who advised them that he and Golata were looking for their rideshare when she tried to grab his phone. Meeks added Golata bit him on his back, leaving a visible mark. Officers called the complainant back, and she provided her original statement. The complainant added that another passenger of the vehicle witnessed Golata bite Meeks. Golata was then deemed the primary aggressor. When officers went to detain her, she began kicking and screaming to the point where they had to carry Golata to the patrol car. While in the patrol car, a female officer searched Golata, and she kicked her body camera off her body. Golata was then taken into custody for domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Olivia Nunez punches boyfriend multiple times after seeing woman on his snapchat

23-year-old Olivia Nunez was involved in an altercation with her boyfriend, Jovan Galevski, at their The Joseph Hotel room on July 5th. When officers arrived and made contact with Galevski, he told them that Olivia had already left. Jovan explained that he and Nunez were out on Broadway earlier in the night watching fireworks. After they returned to the hotel, he went through his Snapchat stories and came across one with a woman. Jovan stated that Nunez saw this, became upset, and started punching him repeatedly. According to Jovan, he was blocking all of the punches. Jovan noted that one of the punches slipped through and hit him in the face, leaving a black eye. Officers later found Nunez driving in a black Jeep Compass. Nunez was identified and was taken into custody for domestic assault. When asked about the incident, Nunez did not provide a statement, saying she did not know what happened. Jovan did not wish to prosecute Nunez; however, she was transported to booking shortly after.

Shaetha Mahinda throws Xbox controller at partner during altercation

31-year-old Shaetha Mahinda had a domestic altercation with her partner, Louis Aguilar, at their Placemakr Premier SoBro Nashville Hotel room late Friday night. Upon arrival, responding officers tried to get Aguilar’s statement numerous times but were unsuccessful. When they asked if he could explain the cuts and scratches on his neck, chest, and arms, he told them he had fallen earlier in the night. Aguilar’s injuries did not indicate that, so officers went to speak with Mahinda, who appeared visibly impaired. Officers had Mahinda take a seat because she could not stand without swaying. During Mahinda’s interaction with officers, she repeatedly told them, “Whatever Louis said.” When they asked her for elaboration, she would giggle and say, “Whatever Louis said,” each time. A hotel security officer said he had seen the couple arguing in the hallway outside their room. He added that Mahinda threw multiple things at Aguilar, including an Xbox controller. Shaetha Mahinda was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

Cole Gelso found passed out drunk at Hyatt Place Hotel after following & spitting on guests

21-year-old Cole Gelso caused a disturbance at Hyatt Place Hotel on June 15th. Upon arrival, officers discovered Cole passed out on the floor by the elevators. When officers tried to wake him, he leaned against the wall and pretended he was scrolling on an imaginary phone. Officers then noticed Cole reeked of alcohol and was showing signs of intoxication. Hotel employees advised officers that Cole tried following guests up the elevator and refused to leave. Employees noted that Cole then became aggressive and began spitting on hotel guests. After officers confirmed an active trespass on file for the location, they detained him for the incident. Cole was taken into custody for criminal trespass and public intoxication. 

Maxemillion Graham charged after her 2-year-old child is found alone in hallway at Clarion Hotel

33-year-old Maxemillion Graham was taken into custody for three counts of child neglect on May 25th. Around 12:45 a.m., officers were called to the Clarion Hotel on North 1st Street after a guest located a 2-year-old, later identified as Graham’s nephew, in the hallway crying with only a diaper on. She brought the 2-year-old to security, who escorted them back to the room. When security got to the hotel room, the door was open, so they knocked three times, trying to announce themselves, but no one answered. Then, security entered and discovered two other minors, a 5-year-old and a 12-year-old, later identified as Graham’s children, causing them to alert the authorities. When officers arrived, they went to the room and met with Graham, who reeked of alcohol as she answered, showing signs of intoxication. She told them that she had been asleep the whole time and that her nephew must have opened the door while she was sleeping. Officers noticed empty beer cans on the room floor and spoke with her children, who stated they were okay and that their mom had been drinking a little bit. Security informed officers that Graham had left with two separate males throughout the night and provided them with security footage. The footage confirmed that she was not in the room when security went in the first time. Officers were in the hallway and could hear Graham inside the room cursing at someone and slamming her fist against something. Officers were advised that Graham needed to leave due to causing a disturbance. Then, officers had security knock on her room to inform Graham that she needed to leave. Once Graham answered, she noticed the police and attempted to flee back into the room. Officers followed her and apprehended her for the occurrence. Officers contacted DCS and waited with the children until they got there to make a safe plan for them.

Gavin Bellamy’s girlfriend jumps from moving car on way to strip club in Nashville

21-year-old Gavin Bellamy had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Danyel Coffey, on Broadway around 11:30 p.m. on March 9th. Deputies were called to The Federal Courthouse Building, and when they arrived, they noticed Coffey sitting and speaking with security guards. Then Coffey advised them that she and Bellamy were visiting from Kentucky and had drinks at a couple of bars on Broadway before getting an Uber to Déjà Vu. She stated while on the way to Déjà Vu, they started arguing and had the driver pull over so they could get out. They decided to walk to their vehicle instead. Coffey said their argument escalated while he was driving, during which he started strangling her and punching her in the face, causing her to fear for her life and jump out near the Courthouse as the car was moving. After jumping out, two civilians and armed security guards assisted her.

Police noticed she had several visible injuries as she told them she left all her belongings in his car, including her cell phone. Medics called her cellphone, and Bellamy answered but only said hello before hanging up. Officers could not reach him after multiple attempts, so they tried to use her phone to track his whereabouts. However, she could not remember her information and could not log in to “Find My iPhone.” Coffey advised them that she feared that after seeking help from them, Bellamy would trap her in their house and kill her. A warrant was issued for his arrest on March 10th. Bellamy was taken into custody for aggravated assault on May 22nd.

Nathan Reeder booked for drinking after doing donuts in 7/11 parking lot with friends on Broadway

19-year-old Nathan Reeder and his unidentified friends were observed doing donuts in the 7/11 parking lot on Broadway Avenue late May 17th. Officers discovered multiple individuals in the group were intoxicated and under the age of 21. Officers conducted a traffic stop and called Reeder’s name about four times before his friends snapped their fingers in Reeder’s face to get his attention. Reeder showed signs of intoxication as he finally realized officers were talking to him. As officers spoke with Reeder, he seemed to fall asleep during their interaction. Officers allowed him to find someone to pick him up, but his nearest ride was 30-40 minutes away. Reeder was taken into custody for public intoxication.
