John Wright throws away TV after not receiving amount of cigarettes he wanted from his mother

37-year-old John F. Wright was taken into custody for vandalism on April 16th. Beverly Jean Wright, his mother, told officers that he became upset after not getting the amount of cigarettes he wanted and threw away a TV, a Bluetooth speaker, and a small table in a communal dumpster, causing damage to them. Then, when they spoke with John, he admitted throwing the TV away because he believed it was broken. Officers were informed that he has a diagnosed mental illness and the mental aptitude of a young teenager. John was then detained for the incident.

Joseph Tibbs charged with joyriding as passenger in stolen car

22-year-old Joseph Tibbs was the passenger in a stolen 2017 Hyundai Elantra that was stopped by officers on May 12 at the Exxon on West End Avenue. He fled from the traffic stop and was apprehended a short distance away. He was issued a state citation charging him with evading arrest and joyriding.

Nashville woman refuses to return car after Turo rental, disables GPS — Lindsay Stooksbury

28-year-old Lindsay Stooksbury remains jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond after refusing to return a Nashville woman’s vehicle, which she had initially borrowed using the peer-to-peer car-sharing service, Turo. She blocked the owner’s phone and disabled the vehicle’s GPS, but the vehicle was eventually located in Florida.
