47-year-old ESPN Titans reporter Turron Davenport was jailed early Thursday morning, charged with his second DUI. Davenport is the Tennessee Titans reporter for ESPN’s NFL Nation. After drinking at a nearby bar, he reportedly passed out behind the wheel of his running vehicle near Demonbreun and 14th Ave South just before midnight. Officers blocked the vehicle and used a Nashville Fire Department vehicle’s horn to wake him up. He refused all commands to turn the vehicle off and drove off several feet several times before eventually unlocking the door so first responders could take control of the scene. Davenport admitted to drinking “a couple of old-fashioned” drinks before driving. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and agreed to a blood draw at Metro General Hospital. Police tell Scoop: Nashville that Davenport was convicted of a prior DUI in 2019.
