Booster Shydericka Turner booked after stealing merchandise at Rue 21 at Opry Mills

26-year-old Shydericka Turner assisted her boyfriend, Travell Morris, in stealing merchandise from Rue 21 on March 1st. When officers arrived, she told them that she was returning items at the location but that the store was accusing her of taking items. Officer then spoke with Kquaz Donald, a Rue 21 employee, who advised that he observed Turner concealed items in her bag and then hand the bag to Morris who exited the store. Donald said the store wished to prosecute for the theft. Due to her concealing items, Turner was cited for the incident. Turner was booked on the citation of theft on March 26th.

18-year-old Deandrew Workings steals $112 earrings from Nordstrom

18-year-old Deandrew Fontey Workings tried to steal merchandise from Nordstrom on March 1st. An Asset Protection employee at Nordstrom, Mr. Nguyen, observed Workings conceal two pairs of earrings totaling $112. Asset Protection apprehended him until officers arrived. Officers reviewed the footage, confirming what Nguyen stated, and issued Workings a citation. Workings was booked on the citation of theft on March 25th.

Kevin Averett breaks girlfriend’s tooth, steals her car during altercation

36-year-old Kevin Ray Averett had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Sarah Nichole Popov, at her Kirkland Avenue residence on January 1st. Popov initially refused to answer any officers’ questions when they arrived but eventually stated that Averett had hit her. Popov explained that her being hit caused her tooth to break. Popov did not explain any more details but said Averett took her car without permission after she told him not to. She added that she did not wish to prosecute for the theft of her vehicle but not the assault. Averett was taken into custody for domestic assault and theft of a vehicle on March 28th.

Zelmon Hause steals $260 gray Ksubi pants by wearing them under his pajamas at Nordstrom

22-year-old Zelmon Hause, Cornell Jamaine Robinson, and an unknown individual assisted each other in shoplifting from Nordstrom on Abbott Martin Road on the afternoon of March 23rd. Hause was observed on camera picking up $260.00 gray Ksubi pants and walking into the fitting room. Hause then put the pants on underneath the pajamas he entered the store with and left the fitting room. While inside the loss prevention office, Hause admitted to concealing the pants and having no intention of paying for them. Hause was taken into custody for theft.

Randy Clayton opens random car doors, steals a single shoe

32-year-old Randy Clayton was taken into custody for vehicle burglary and theft on March 24th.  Rometha Irving and Tussanee Irving called the police regarding a residential burglary they witnessed on Hamilton Crossing Square. When the officers arrived, they spoke with them and advised that Silas Pegue was visiting at the time. When they looked out the window, they noticed a black male in a black jacket with two different colored shoes, later identified as Clayton, trying to open random car doors. Then, Rometha said he tried to open their front door but did not enter. They both said Clayton was inside Pegue’s Chevy Impala and that Pegue had left to chase after him before the officers arrived. The officers met with Pegue near Ezell-Harding Christian School on Bell Road, and he stated he observed Clayton in his Chevy, taking his black Jordan tennis shoes. He added that when he approached Clayton, he was wearing a black jacket and one of his Jordans, valued at $200. Pegue showed them a white tennis shoe he had left behind. While they were questioning him, he told them he had seen Clayton standing on the corner at the intersection of Bell Road and Rice Road. He was detained and, under Miranda, stated that he did not know where he was and that he only remembered officers approaching him. He later mentioned that Pegue yelled at him before they got there. Officers searched him after the arrest and located three phones, one of which was Pegue’s, which he had not informed them about.

Katriona Harmon steals $407 worth of merchandise from Target

49-year-old Katriona Harmon was caught shoplifting at Target on December 9th, 2023. Harmon was seen taking $370.34 worth of merchandise and then leaving. Later, on January 4th, Harmon was seen leaving the same Target, but this time only taking $36.83 worth of merchandise. Katriona Harmon was taken into custody and charged with two counts of theft on March 23rd.

Tyrika Darrough steals $342 worth of merchandise from Nordstrom

28-year-old Tyrika Darrough was booked on a citation on March 20th when she was seen shoplifting at Nordstrom at The Mall at Green Hills on February 21st. When officers arrived, they were met by Nordstrom’s loss prevention officer, Mr. Nguyen, who stated that he witnessed Darrough concealing merchandise in her purse. Nguyen informed officers that when he questioned Darrough, she said that she didn’t take any items from the store. However, Nguyen reached into her bag and retrieved $342 worth of Nordstrom items. Darrough was cited for the incident that day. Darrough was booked on the citation for theft on March 20th.

Desiree Hester steals over $1,000 in merchandise from Carter’s

28-year-old Desiree Hester and Kayla Coons stole merchandise from Carters on Cane Ridge Parkway at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th. They were observed on video entering the store and loading up two baskets with $1000.00 worth of items. Coons then told Carter’s employees that she left her wallet in the car, so she went to her car and returned as if she was going to pay. This was when Hester opened the door, and both fled in a vehicle registered to Coons’ Greer Road residence. The police interviewed Coons on February 15th, during which she admitted to taking the merchandise and identified Hester. A warrant was issued for Hester’s arrest on February 19th. Hester was booked on the citation of theft on March 16th.

Kayla Coons steals $1,000 worth of items from Carter’s

28-year-old Kayla Coons and Desiree Hester stole merchandise from Carters on Cane Ridge Parkway at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th. They were observed on video entering the store and loading up two baskets with $1000.00 worth of items. Coons told employees that she left her wallet in the car, so she went to her car and returned as if she was going to pay. Hester then opened the door, and both fled in a white Chrysler registered to Coons’ Greer Road residence. The police interviewed her on February 15th, during which she admitted to taking the merchandise and then was cited for the incident. Coons failed to pay the fines or appear in court on March 12th. Coons was booked on the citation of theft on March 21st.

Andreas Tsinakis booked after stealing $155.36 worth of groceries from Target

44-year-old Andreas Tsinakis tried to steal merchandise from the Target on White Bridge Pike late March 2nd. Larry Seiber, an employee at Target, spoke with officers when they arrived, advising Tsinakis had been caught concealing $155.36 worth of groceries and outdoor items into a bag. Seiber added that this was his second time shoplifting at the location and that the business would be prosecuting. When officers detained Tsinakis, Seiber told him he was trespassed from all Target Locations. Tsinakis was cited for the incident that day. Tsinakis was booked on the citation of theft on March 19th.
