Brian Joseph Dowling FEAT

55-year-old Brian Dowling was observed in the area of the Walk of Fame Park just outside the Phish concert in downtown Nashville this weekend. Officers described a sea of fifty to one hundred people who were all partaking in inhaling nitrous oxide via inflated balloons. Officers noted some were talkative; some were talking about how high they were; some were quiet, while others vomited.

When approached by officers, Dowling was told to drop the balloon he was carrying; he then released the balloon, picked it up, and inhaled it before running down the sidewalk and getting caught by the police. Dowling was taken into custody for inhaling or possessing intoxicating fumes and resisting arrest.

Nathan Justus charged with DUI on scooter in downtown Nashville

26-year-old Texan Nathan Justus crashed a scooter he was riding on 10th Ave South Wednesday night and was being treated by medics when Metro Nashville Police responded to the scene. Justus stated he was leaving a sushi restaurant where he consumed “one beer.” He then remembered that before the restaurant, he was on Broadway and consumed two shots of whiskey and two more beers. During the crash, he fell to the ground, hitting his head, arm, stomach, and knee, and while on the ground, he became light-headed and passed out. Despite all of that, Justus refused all medical transport and further treatment. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests, and was transported to booking, where he later blew a 0.089% BAC on a breathalyzer.
