23-year-old Tori Keeton was charged with domestic assault and vandalism after her boyfriend told officers she attacked him in the hospital because he was texting another woman. The charges were dropped because the victim is no longer alive.
The suspected gunman in Friday morning’s fatal shooting of Kevin Stewart near the Antioch IHOP has met with South Precinct detectives, surrendered his pistol, and reports that he shot Stewart in self-defense as Stewart was raising a gun toward him. The 23-year-old admitted shooter, Larico Nelson, who was legally in possession of a pistol, and two 22-year-old friends who were with him, gave full statements before leaving the South Precinct. Their accounts of the events Friday morning will be shared with the District Attorney’s Office.
