Jeremiah Brown kicks apartment door down during altercation with girlfriend

25-year-old Jeremiah Brown had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Aleshia Larkin, at their Pennington Avenue apartment on the afternoon of April 25th. In the earlier hours, Brown was arrested for a separate domestic assault incident. While Brown was transferred to DCSO custody for booking, the staff located a Xanax bar and a small amount of marijuana in his right pocket. Then, the warrant was denied by The High Court Commissioner, resulting in his release. After being released, Brown went to their shared apartment to retrieve his belongings. Brown said he heard voices talking inside the unit and kicked in the front door, causing damage to the door frame. Even after he was advised to call the police by his family members who were present. Larkin said she was intimidated by his actions due to their previous domestic dispute. Brown was seen yelling and shouting at Larkin and refused to disperse after officers verbally commanded him to. Officers then had to physically separate Brown from Larkin. While detaining him, Brown became resistive and would not place his hands behind his back, prompting officers to use “soft empty hand control” to arrest him. Brown was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and contraband in a penal institution.

Quyen Nguyen punches wife for calling her aunt during argument, tells police she does this “every single time”

50-year-old Quyen Nguyen had a domestic incident with his wife, Ha Nguyen, at their Windsor Green Boulevard apartment late April 25th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Mr. And Mrs. Nguyen, who advised them that Quyen believed his wife was having an affair with another man. Quyen confronted her about it, which sparked an argument. Ha became upset and stated she would call her aunt, which angered Quyen. Quyen explained he felt that her aunt only antagonizes their domestic situations because she calls her “every single time.” Then, Quyen tried to grab Ha’s phone, knocking it out of her hand onto the floor. In response, Ha picked up the phone and slapped him on the side of his upper arm. Quyen turned and punched her left arm, leaving visible redness and light bruising before pushing her away. Quyen Nguyen was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 26th.

DUI: David Randazzo drives through person’s backyard, tells officers he “had a little bit” to drink

41-year-old David Randazzo was taken into custody for an open container violation, an implied consent violation, and driving under the influence-2nd offense on April 26th. On April 25th, around 10:00 p.m., officers received a call regarding a person, later identified as Randazzo, driving through their backyard. Upon arrival, officers observed him driving away from the location. Officers then conducted an investigatory stop, where they noticed Randazzo reeked of alcohol. When asked by officers if he had consumed any alcohol, Randazzo advised that he “had a little bit.” He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and after being read implied consent, agreed to provide a blood sample. After being transported to Nashville General Hospital for the blood draw, Randazzo revoked his consent, prompting officers to obtain a search warrant for his blood. Officers then discovered he had a prior DUI charge from Michigan in 2017. Officers located two open containers during an inventory search of his vehicle. Randazzo was detained for the incident.

Robert Sellers jailed after harassing, assaulting multiple ex-girlfriends

24-year-old Robert Sellers had a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Chassity Sanders, at her Oakwood Avenue apartment on April 20th, 2023. When officers arrived, they spoke with Sanders, who stated that Sellers had been calling her excessively since April 17th, 2023. While officers spoke with her, Sellers called 4-5 times over ten minutes. Sanders answered the first call and told Sellers to stop contacting her. During their conversation, he stated, “Before you get your ass beat.” He continued to call her several times. Then, Sanders said he was in the area, driving his silver Ford Taurus, which officers observed speeding through the parking lot. After noticing a partial tag from the Taurus, they ran a vehicle record check and discovered it belonged to Ms. Sellers. Then, Sanders showed officers her call log, which showed 35 missed calls since April 17th, 2023, from a phone number belonging to Sellers. Sanders stated she had other calls from blocked numbers, including ones he had created to contact her. Sanders told officers that she was placed in fear due to his behavior escalating, adding that she believed that he would assault her if she left the apartment. She told them she would obtain an order of protection on her own time, wished to prosecute for the occurrence, and denied the shelter they offered. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Then, on June 17th, 2023, Sellers had a domestic incident with another ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Tyiesha Ridley, and her mother, Natasha Ridley, at her Dickerson Pike apartment. When officers arrived, Sellers had already left the area, so they spoke with Tyiesha. Tyiesha explained that she saw Sellers up the stairs at her apartment door arguing with her mom, preventing him from entering the unit. Tyiesha said she pulled Sellers away from her mother so they could talk downstairs. Once downstairs, he punched Tyiesha in the face, and a scuffle ensued as she tried to get away from him. After Natasha separated them, Sellers grabbed her collar and tried to hit her three times, but she pushed him away. Then, Tyiesha said Sellers pulled the apartment complex’s fire alarm and fled to his vehicle because police were called. Tyiesha stated that she was in fear of bodily harm when he struck her, adding that she and Sellers used to share a residence but not anymore. Tyiesha said she did not know how Sellers obtained her address because she had hidden it from him because he got Natasha evicted for causing trouble. Tyiesha had a chipped front tooth, a scratch on her left arm, and bruising to her right cheek. An additional 2 warrants were issued for his arrest. Sellers was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault and harassment on April 25th, 2024.

Logan Thompson threatens man with knife, tells him “I’ll cut your throat if you don’t move!”

22-year-old Logan Tyler Thompson threatened Tyler Worden with a knife near The Musicians Hall of Fame Museum around 7:42 p.m. on April 25th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Worden. Worden stated that a male, later identified as Thompson, who was wearing a black hoodie and green pants, approached him, demanding that he move. Then, he said that Thompson pulled out a knife and stated, “I’ll cut your throat if you don’t move!” Officers searched the area and located a man who matched the description, identified as Thompson, near the WeGo Central Bus Station on Martin Luther King Boulevard with a large machete in his waistband. Officers detained him and conducted a “show-up,” where Worden identified him. Kimberly Lanham, a witness, spoke with officers and corroborated Worden’s statements. Thompson was then taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

DUI: Kevin Cascante nearly collides with unmarked police vehicle on Charlotte Pike

38-year-old Kevin Cascante drove his 2023 Nissan Rogue through a red light near 51st Avenue and Charlotte Pike in the early hours of April 24th. He nearly collided with Lieutenant Joshua Lefler’s unmarked metro vehicle. Lefler honked at Cascante, who put his hazards on and stopped in a travel lane. After Lefler passed by, Cascante got behind him and tailgated his vehicle closely, swerving back and forth as if he were going to hit him. Then, Lefler conducted a traffic stop near White Bridge Pike and I-40 East, where he advised additional officers that he believed Cascante was impaired. When officers spoke with Cascante, they noticed he reeked of alcohol and transported him to the Chic-Fil-A on Charlotte Pike for sobriety tests, but he refused to take them. After being read implied consent, Cascante declined to provide a chemical sample. Cascante was also previously arrested in Nashville for a 2022 public intoxication incident where he spat on people in downtown Nashville. Cascante was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an implied consent violation.

DUI: Jeffrey Greene found unconscious next to his burning vehicle

52-year-old Jeffrey Greene crashed his car into a tree near a Goodbar Drive residence late April 24th. When officers arrived, they observed Greene lying unconscious on the ground next to his vehicle, which was on fire. After medics checked on him, he refused additional medical treatment. While officers investigated, Greene kept telling officers he was not involved in an accident and was unaware of how his car crashed. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed of implied consent. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, officers located a firearm near the driver’s compartment. Green was transported to Nashville General Hospital and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence and possession of a weapon while under the influence.

Danniela Machado booked after failing to appear in court after using her phone driving on I-440

29-year-old Danniela Machado drove while using her phone on I-440 around 1:32 p.m. on October 15th, 2023. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and cited her for the violation. She failed to appear in court by February 23rd, 2024, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Machado was booked on a hands-free violation citation on April 24th.

Heath Parker helps woman steal $200 worth of items from Walgreens

43-year-old Heath Lee Parker helped Wanda Moores steal from the Gallatin Pike Walgreens around 9:26 p.m. on March 2nd. Officers observed Moores running away from the establishment with a cart full of merchandise before loading it into a car with a female identified as Wanda Moores. Deborah Carter Lunsford, a Walgreens employee, ran outside and filmed them driving off. The police got behind the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near a Shelton Avenue residence, where they identified Moores as the driver. During their investigation, they were advised that about $200 of items were stolen from the location. Parker was detained and Mirandized, under which he admitted to helping Moores load the stolen items into the car. Parker was then cited for the incident. Parker was booked on the citation of theft on April 24th.

Jhonatan Quijada steals two shirts worth $185 at Nordstrom

19-year-old Jhonatan Quijada Quijada was booked on the citation of theft on April 22nd. On March 29th, officers were called to Nordstrom regarding a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival, they spoke with Joey Rodriguez Jr., a Nordstrom loss prevention officer. He stated he observed Quijada enter the location, select two shirts valued at $185.00, and place them inside a bag he had brought. Then, Rodriguez Jr. said he detained Quijada and waited for the police. The occurrence was captured on camera. Officers then cited Quijada. Quijada was taken into custody on April 22nd.
