DUI: Jack Reeves smokes crack cocaine, tells police he’s “looking for girls”

57-year-old Jack Reeves was driving in his black Altima with expired Texas tags, not wearing a seatbelt, late April 18th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. Reeves admitted to not wearing a seatbelt, adding that he was over there “looking for girls.” During their interaction, officers noticed his eyes were dilated, so they asked him to perform sobriety tests. Reeves consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Then, under Miranda, Reeves admitted to smoking crack cocaine the night before and being intoxicated. Reeves agreed to provide a blood sample and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Andres Gonzalez speeds down I-65 after drinking three 12-ounce Modelos at Deja Vu

28-year-old Andres Leon Gonzalez was speeding on I-65 South near Mile Marker 80.6 in the early hours of April 19th. Officers observed him going 76 mph in a 55 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. When officers approached the car, they noticed he had a front passenger and asked him for his driver’s license, to which he said he did not have one. Then, Gonzalez handed them his Mexico ID. During their interaction, Gonzalez reeked of alcohol and admitted to having one beer before telling them he had three 12-ounce Modelos at the Déjà Vu strip club about 30 minutes before the traffic stop. Officers requested a Spanish-speaking officer to administer sobriety tests, which he consented to and performed poorly. Gonzalez was detained and read implied consent, where he agreed to provide a blood sample. Gonzalez was transported to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Fahd Opanuga attempts to pass through TSA with fake ID at Nashville International Airport

56-year-old Fahd Opanuga was taken into custody for criminal impersonation, theft of identity, and criminal simulation on April 18th at TSA checkpoint in Nashville International Airport. During a fraud investigation, airport police officers approached Opanuga and asked for his ID, which he voluntarily provided. Then, when officers ran his ID, it returned bearing the name “Hakeem Adewale Bashorun.” Officers discovered that Opanuga was not the person pictured when Bashorun’s information returned. Officers then located a credit card under Bashorun’s identity in his possession as well. Opanuga was then detained for the incident.

Samuel Lusty slashes tire of police officer who was hooking up with his girlfriend

23-year-old Samuel Hunter Lusty was taken into custody this week for vandalism. On February 3rd, officers received a call, where the complainant advised them that when he went outside to head to work, he noticed his passenger side tire had been cut with a knife. The complainant and his roommate, Colton Harris, are Hendersonville police officers, adding that he believed Harris was the intended target because he was romantically involved with a female, Kristen Cowart, who lives in the same building of the apartments on Windsor Green Boulevard,

On February 7th, officers investigated and spoke with Cowart, who stated she had broken up with her boyfriend, Lusty, the night before. She said that Lusty left and returned around 11:00 p.m., calling her phone repeatedly, driving around her building radically, and screaming threats at her and her roommate, Abigail Clark. She stated that Lusty accused her of cheating on him with Harris, upset that he was a police officer. Cowart then said Clark witnessed Lusty slashing both her and Clark’s tires before driving off. When officers spoke with Clark, she corroborated Cowart’s statements. Lusty was detained on February 4th for outstanding warrants as he returned to the apartments to retrieve some belongings. Once Lusty was arrested, officers asked him if he vandalized anyone’s vehicle, and he denied it but made several statements about Harris running his relationship and sleeping with his girlfriend. The amount of damage totaled $135.00.

Tyrique Harris steals man’s backpack inside Copper Branch Cafe with group of juveniles

20-year-old Tyrique Harris, Leslie “Big Head” Bradford, and Jayden “Baby Jay” Woods had an altercation with Bryan Pasquini at The McKendree Methodist Church on April 18th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Pasquini, who stated that when they approached him, Harris asked him, “Where is the money for the girl?” Then, Pasquini said that Harris threw his backpack down and squared up to him, attempting to fight him. Pasquini walked away due to being outnumbered and went inside the Copper Branch Café, where they followed him inside. Harris then ripped Pasquini’s backpack off, telling him, “You better not come back to the bus station, or we are going to kill you.” Pasquini said this caused him to fear for his life, so he called the police. Michael Locscio, a witness, told officers that he observed them steal Pasquini’s backpack inside the café.

Then, officers investigated and located Harris running near the Downtown Detention Center on James Robertson Parkway, matching the description provided to them, so they detained him. During a subsequent search, officers located two baggies of marijuana, totaling 36.68 grams, a small digital scale, a small glass jar stating it contained THC on the label, and $158 cash on Harris’ person. Officers conducted a “show-up” where Pasquini identified Harris, Bradford, and Woods. Another officer contacted them and told them he initially discovered Harris with the other two at the MTA Bus Station and told them to stop. The group refused until being stopped by the other unit. The police discovered that Bradford and Woods were 13 and 16 years old. Then, when they spoke with Harris, he stated that he had the marijuana to sell in downtown Nashville, adding that he did so every day and made about $100 a day. Harris was taken into custody for possession of Schedule VI with intent to sell, evading arrest, two counts of contribution to the delinquency of a minor, theft, and assault.

Anthony Spicer Jr. indicted for the rape of a child, multiple counts of aggravated sexual battery

A Davidson County Grand Jury indicted 27-year-old Anthony Dewayne Spicer Jr. for the rape of a child, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, and two counts of the solicitation of a minor on November 18th, 2021. The indictment alleges that Spicer Jr., between September 2020 and January 2021, engaged in unlawful sexual penetration, sexual contact, and rape of a child less than 13 years of age. Spicer Jr. was recently taken into custody on April 18th, 2024.

Kiya Townes posts video of boyfriend’s ex performing oral sex on him, tells her “Quit texting my bd!”

21-year-old Kiya Alexis Townes was taken into custody for three counts of unlawful exposure and harassment on April 18th. On October 2nd, 2023, Townes’s boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend, reported to police that Townes had been posting an old video of her performing oral sex on the ex-boyfriend. The ex-girlfriend notes that her face is clearly identifiable in the video. She added that Townes posted the video in a Facebook comment on her page and shared it multiple times. After executing a search warrant on Townes’s Facebook and Instagram, officers discovered that she shared the video three times on September 30th, 2023, one at 10:33 p.m., another at 10:35 p.m., and then 12:50 a.m. Then, she provided officers with screenshots of messages between her and Townes’s Facebook account, where Townes told her, “I am hurt, so yeah I sent a video out.” She also showed officers screen recordings of Townes harassing her though texts and social media. In one of the threads, she told Townes to stop contacting her and to leave her alone. To which Townes responded, “F*ck you fat a** b*tch. Quit texting my bd!” The harassment continued for an extended period of time so officers obtained warrants for Townes’s arrest on March 1st, 2024.

#FreakNik: Abanoub Awed fishtails in Dodge Charger, stolen Glock 45 found in car

20-year-old Abanoub Awed fishtailed his Dodge Charger around several pedestrians near Hadley Park on April 13th. Officers observed him screeching his tires and losing control of his car, so they conducted a traffic stop, where they located a black Glock 45 9mm under the front passenger seat. Officers ran the serial number of the firearm and it returned as reported stolen by Leonel Perez. Awed was taken into custody for reckless endangerment and theft of a firearm on April 14th.

Eric Church has fan arrested at his new bar, Chief’s — Brody Goins

21-year-old Brody Goins, son of Tennessee Coordinator of Elections Mark Goins, waited by the alleyway door for Eric Church’s autograph around 11:05 p.m. at Chief’s Bar, Church’s establishment, on April 18th. Security at the bar flagged officers down and explained that Church and his family were trying to exit the building, stating he was not doing autographs then. Officers approached Goins and his friend and told them that the security team wanted them to move away from the door and the vehicle so Church could leave. Goins told police that he was in a public area and would not be moving.

Then, officers told Goins that he was blocking the vehicle from moving back into the alleyway so the occupants could leave. Goins said he was only there for an autograph, a video, and some pictures. The head of security told him that, unfortunately, Eric would not be signing any autographs at this time because he wanted to leave quickly. Security then told officers they deemed Goins a medium-level threat. Goins became argumentative and continued telling them he was not going because he was not committing a crime, and then he asked to speak with a supervisor. When Sergeant Bennett arrived, he informed him that he was obstructing a passageway. Goins was taken into custody for obstructing the passageway on April 19th.

#FreakNik: Donovan Bender found in possession of stolen Glock 45

19-year-old Donovan Bender was taken into custody for theft of a firearm. On April 13th officers conducted a traffic stop near Hadley Park. They arrested the driver, Abanoub Awed, and told the other occupants to exit the vehicle and leave the scene. During a search, officers recovered a black Glock 45 9mm under the front passenger seat. While retrieving Awed’s ID, officers grabbed Bender’s ID by mistake and were advised by the driver that he was the front passenger. When Officers ran the serial number for the firearm, it returned as reported stolen by Leonel Perez. The police identified Bender via body cam footage and the ID they located, so a warrant was issued for his arrest on April 15th, and he was booked on April 18th.
