24-year-old Jalen Manning is charged with the aggravated assault and strangulation of his girlfriend while in Whiskey Row in downtown Nashville. Police say an “anonymous male” who stated he was ‘intervening on the female’s behalf’ and Manning were in a fight when they arrived. The other male was neither named nor prosecuted.
Metro Police responded to a fight in progress between two males just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning, at 120 3rd Ave. South, to the alley behind the FGL Bar. Police arrived to find Jalen Manning [Facebook] and an ‘anonymous male’ still brawling. When asked what happened, the anonymous male told officers he was intervening on behalf of Jalen Manning’s girlfriend after he witnessed Manning [Instagram] strangling her twice while in Whiskey Row in downtown Nashville.
Manning’s girlfriend suffered injuries from the assault on her. Manning was injured by the assault from the ‘anonymous male’ and treated at Metro General before being booked. Manning [Twitter] is charged with felony aggravated assault/strangulation and is free on a $2500 bond to his Carthage, TN address at 130 Twin Rivers Drive.
