Metro’s Juvenile Crime Task Force have charged 17-year-old Jordan Brownlee with this week’s armed carjacking of a couple as they unloaded their 2014 Chevy Cruze outside an Airbnb location on Harpeth Knoll Road.
28-year-old Reshonda Simpson was arrested Monday, charged with the April carjacking of a man she knew and lured to a location where she and an associate took his Dodge Charger and wallet at gunpoint.
Metro Police say 18-year-old Estifanos Kumssa is responsible for two armed carjackings Thursday, and is now in the Metro Jail after officers spotted the stolen Jeep Liberty he was in and spiked the tires near the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike & Bell Road.
16-year-old fugitive David Earl Mays was attempting to carjack Brian Redden, 38, at 7:13 p.m. when he shot him in the lower torso. Redden underwent surgery Wednesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Donpatric Buford, 19, was arrested Thursday, charged with his role in a December carjacking at Danny’s Market. Police say Buford drove his co-defendant to the location to commit the crime, and the vehicle was recovered blocks from his residence. He is jailed in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
Juan Posada, 18, asked an Instagram acquaintance to take him to visit his sick grandmother on Monday. The acquaintance picked him up, and was then carjacked at knife-point by Posada and a co-defendant.
