Nashville police arrested 27-year-old Syrus Jenkins Monday morning, who they say was clearly under the influence of unknown substances, and 90 minutes later he was free on pre-trial release, skipping the standard hold for public intoxication arrests. 5 hours after his release, he entered a family’s attached garage and attempted to gain entry to their home via the inner door. They grabbed a machete and waited 18 minutes for MNPD to arrive.
