Protester Georganne Parr jailed after interrupting House Session at Capitol

55-year-old Georganne Parr was jailed late Monday night after protesting at the State Capitol building. THP Troopers say the House of Representatives had an active session when the crowd became disorderly by shouting and screaming. Parr was asked to leave the chamber and refused to do so. Trooper Pollard grabbed her arm to escort her from the chamber, and she pulled away and reportedly pushed him. Trooper Campbell stepped in to help when she pulled away, rolled over, and ignored all commands. During a struggle, she reportedly struck Trooper Campbell in the leg. She was non-compliant with being detained and had to be carried down two flights of stairs.

Amanda Covington charged with DUI after “drinking most of the day”

51-year-old Amanda Covington was driving her black Nissan Altima on I-40 on January 6 with a tag that expired in December of 2021, according to THP Trooper Keith Velez. As he spoke to Covington, he reportedly smelled alcohol coming from her and the vehicle. She stated she had “two small airplane bottles” of alcohol a few hours before driving. She performed poorly on subsequent field sobriety tests and eventually admitted she had been drinking “most of the day, yesterday.” She was transported to St. Thomas Midtown

DUI: Dustin Weber travels 90 in a 55 mph zone; open beer bottles & Adderall in vehicle

37-year-old Dustin Albert Weber was driving his vehicle at 90 mph in a 55 mph zone just after 1 a.m. Thursday, according to THP Trooper Joseph Chery. Chery says Weber passed his patrol car at that speed, and he initiated a traffic stop on I-40 near mile marker 52. Weber reportedly reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Inside his vehicle was two empty beer bottles (Samuel Adams) and several pills, believed to be Adderall.

THP Trooper demoted within 20 minutes of filing open records request into fraud allegations of Sergeant

THP Trooper Michael Parker filed a complaint with the state concerning a THP Sergeant that was allegedly falsifying time sheets. He then filed an open records request regarding the inquiry, and was demoted within 20 minutes of filing the request.

Is THP Trooper Will Matsunaga retaliating against his neighbor after she reported him for harassment?

Below is a video of Tennessee High Patrol Trooper Will Matsunaga moving his vehicle. The video appears to show Trooper Matsunaga, who is parked beside his neighbor, move his vehicle, and re-park it in such a way that would make it nearly impossible for his neighbor to get into their vehicle at all, or without causing damage to his vehicle. This happened on Friday, 04/27. That’s important – because the day before, on Thursday, his neighbor had filed an official complaint against THP Trooper Matsunaga as he would not leave…
