DUI Crash: Travel Nurse refuses care because “I’m a nurse”, resists arrest, handgun — Megan Thaggard

32-year-old Travel Nurse Megan Elizabeth Thaggard is jailed in lieu of a $7,500 bond after police found her crashed into a crosswalk pole in downtown Nashville. When they attempted to provide her with medical assistance she refused, declaring “I don’t need care, because I’m a traveling RN!” She would eventually blow a 0.151 % BAC on a breathalyzer after admitting to drinking prior to driving. She also had a 9mm Kimber loaded with hollow-point bullets in the car within her reach. She actively resisted arrest for several minutes until police were eventually able to get her into custody. She was transported a few hundred feet to booking and charged with DUI, handgun under the influence, resisting arrest, and no insurance.

Trio charged in head-stomping Broadway brawl #VisitMusicCity

A trio was charged in a brutal Broadway Brawl early Saturday morning in front of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, but none of them for the actual assault, just for being drunk and disorderly, despite Metro Nashville Police Officer Mark Miracle documenting he watched one of the trio, Eric Broersma, “stomp on the man’s head who was on the ground, then continue walking down Broadway”. Alandra Caruthers and Marshaun Payne were also arrested.

Ian Mathis: Drunk & Passed Out @ Taco Bell Drive-Thru | DUI & Weapon Charges

Ian Mathis was arrested just before 3AM on Saturday morning, when he was found passed out behind the wheel at a Taco Bell drive-thru on Gallatin Pk in East Nashville. When police arrived at the East Nashville Taco Bell, they found Ian Mathis passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.
