Korey Hutson speeds down I-40 East at 120 mph in Jaguar F-Pace

31-year-old Korey David Hutson was speeding on I-40 East late April 6th in his Jaguar F-Pace. Officers observed this and initiated a traffic stop, during which he was going 120 mph until they caught up to him near Stewarts Ferry Pike. Officers asked Hutson why he was going so fast, and he replied, “I do not know.” Hutson was then cited for the incident that day. Huston was later booked on the citation of reckless driving on May 3rd.

DUI: Mario Haynes crashes on Briley Parkway while high on Oxycodone

59-year-old Mario Haynes had a single-vehicle accident on Briley Parkway West near Mile Marker 22 in the afternoon hours of April 13th. When officers arrived, medics advised them that Haynes was in and out of consciousness, possibly having a “medical episode,” and needed to be transported to Skyline Medical. Witnesses told officers that he was behind Haynes for about a mile and a half, during which his left signal blinker changed numerous times as he swerved toward the shoulder and back to the middle lane until he hit the guardrail. He added that Haynes was driving as if he was falling asleep.

Officers searched his vehicle before it was towed and discovered a plastic sandwich bag containing a pill bottle with a blue pill, later identified as Oxycodone, three straws with a powdery substance, a pill cutter, and a plastic storage bottle with a single razor blade wrapped in toilet paper and an empty manilla envelope. When they arrived at Skyline Medical, Haynes was being assessed by the staff, and after he returned from getting scans, he admitted to having an Oxycodone pill and being impaired while driving. He was informed about implied consent and agreed to provide a blood sample. Haynes was cited for the occurrence and booked on the citation of driving under the influence, legend drug possession, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia on May 3rd.

Zaman Kerim burns rubber down Nolensville Pike in Dodge Charger with 9-year-old in front seat

21-year-old Zaman Kerim was speeding in his black 2012 Dodge Charger on Nolensville Pike on April 6th. Officers observed Kerim speeding and burning the rubber on his tires. When officers contacted Kerim, he had a 9-year-old passenger in the front seat. Officers cited Kerim for the violation that day. Kerim was later booked on the citation of reckless driving.

Brandon Smith aggressively swerves around traffic on I-40, tells police he was “just trying to get home.”

31-year-old Brandon Smith was speeding in his black 2020 Land Rover Range Rover on I-40 on December 30th, 2023. Officers observed  Smith swerving around traffic aggressively and at high speeds. The vehicle was then seen slowing down on Murfreesboro Pike and aggressively turning to get onto the I-40 ramp. When officers came into contact with Smith, he stated that he didn’t do anything wrong and was trying to get home. Officers cited Smith for the violation that day. Smith was later booked on the citation of reckless driving on May 1st, 2024.

Christian Cameron caught leaving scene of accident in her Nissan Versa

26-year-old Cameron Christian was seen leaving the scene of a car accident on April 5th in a blue 2010 Nissan Versa. Officers then located Cameron at her apartment. Officers cited her for the violation that day. Cameron was booked on the citation of leaving the scene of an accident on April 30th.

Matthew Wolf caught leaving scene of crash after giving no information

49-year-old Matthew Wolf was seen leaving the scene of a crash on April 14th. Officers arrived at the location and obtained the tag number for the vehicle in which Wolf fled the scene. The tag was registered for a residence on West Old Hickory Boulevard. When officers arrived at the location, they contacted Wolf, who stated that he gave the victim a phone number and then left. However, the victim told officers they didn’t receive a number from Wolf. Law enforcement cited Wolf for the violation that day. Wolf was booked on the citation of leaving the scene of an accident on May 1st.

DUI: Lathan Flores drives erratically after drinking “a glass and a half of wine”

21-year-old Lathan Flores was observed erratically pulling into the TA Travel Center parking lot in the early morning of May 7th. Security at the location advised officers that he approached Flores, where he exited his vehicle and was told to stay out of it while he called the police. When officers arrived, security pointed Flores out and told them he had seen open alcohol containers in his car.

Officers spoke with Flores, who smelled strongly of alcohol and showed signs of impairment as he admitted to drinking a “glass and a half of wine” after driving recklessly through the parking lot because he was upset about his relationship. Officers noticed a glass of wine in his center console and an open box of wine in the vehicle. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and, after being read implied consent, agreed to provide a blood sample.

Flores’ passenger was sober and told officers that he told him to bring the box of wine from the back of the vehicle to the front, during which he noticed it was not full. He stated that he did not witness him drink before driving. Flores was transported to Nashville General Hospital and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence and an open container violation.

La’Myah Grant steals two iPhones from employee at Soho Lounge

21-year-old La’Myah Grant and Shamon Tyler were caught stealing an employee’s iPhones at the Soho Lounge on Bell Road on May 6th. Officers arrived at the location and contacted the victim of the incident, Raheme Fuller. Fuller, an employee of Soho Lounge, told officers that while he was breaking up a fight, he dropped two iPhones, his work phone and personal phone. Grant and Tyler grabbed Fuller’s phones off the ground and left in a white Dodge Durango. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the Dodge Durango drove off. Officers then spotted Shamon Tyler, who was in possession of one of Fuller’s stolen phones. Tyler then contacted Grant and told her to return to the location with the other phone. Grant returned to the area where she fled from officers. Once officers confirmed that the phone belonged to Fuller, Grant was taken into custody and charged with theft of property.

Clen Carey threatens his sister and brother-in-law, says “You better pray I don’t ever see you again”

27-year-old Clen Carey Jr. had a domestic incident with his sister, Nieghn Carey, on April 25th. Nieghn told officers that while she was at work, she was texting Clen, who wanted her to hold onto his belongings. She told them they used to live together and that he became upset that she did not want to keep his things. He texted her, saying, “You better pray I don’t ever see you again.” She told officers that his text caused her to fear violence due to their physical domestic history. She added that she wished to prosecute for the incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 26th, Byron Watts told officers he had received multiple messages from his brother-in-law, Carey Jr., stating he would call his and Nieghn’s job. Then, Carey texted him, making claims accusing him and Nieghn of stealing and damaging his property. Watts told officers the messages were unwanted, annoying, and offensive, causing him to believe his personal life and livelihood were in jeopardy. Carey was taken into custody for two counts of harassment on May 7th.

Raneshia Thorpe booked on citation after caught with 1 gram of marijuana

21-year-old Raneshia Thorpe was seen in a black Kia Optima with Deandre Claybrooks on April 11th. Officers stopped the vehicle for window tint, but the vehicle smelt like marijuana when officers approached it. Officers found 1 gram of marijuana in Thorpe’s purse and cited her for the violation that day. Thorpe was booked on the citation of simple possession on May 8th.
