DUI: Ashton Grams flips her car with 4 young children inside after drinking Bud Light

30-year-old Ashton Grams was arrested for driving under the influence after being involved in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Fairland Avenue and Fain Street on July 7th. Officers responded to a rollover accident and found Grams and her four children outside the overturned vehicle. The vehicle’s tags were suspended, and officers discovered an empty can of Bud Light on the vehicle’s passenger side. Grams confessed to driving the overturned vehicle and admitted that the beer can was hers, claiming she had not consumed alcohol since the previous day at noon. Officers then conducted a sobriety test, which Grams agreed to, but she performed poorly and exhibited signs of impairment. Additionally, officers noticed Grams had bloodshot, constricted, and glassy eyes. During police questioning, officers detected the smell of alcohol coming from Grams. Grams informed officers that the Bud Light can was half full in the vehicle, but it spilled on her. Grams also admitted that she did not have insurance for the car. The four children in the vehicle were 8, 6, 5, and 5 months old. The 5-month-old and 5-year-old were in car seats, while the 8-year-old and 6-year-old were not. Officers observed cuts on the 8-year-old and 6-year-old before learning that Grams had a suspended driver’s license. Grams stated that she was driving at 35 mph when she collided with a parked trailer she didn’t see. Grams then hit a nearby parked truck, causing significant damage and totaling both the truck and trailer. Grams was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, DUI, open container of alcohol, lack of insurance, and four counts of child endangerment.

Tiffany Martin cited for driving on a suspended license; booked almost 3 years later

On December 29th, 2021, 32-year-old Tiffany Dominique Martin was observed driving down Long Hollow Pike without her headlights. Officers noticed this and conducted a traffic stop, discovering that her license had been suspended. Martin was then cited for the occurrence. Martin was booked on the citation of driving with a suspended license on June 24th, 2024.

DUI: Tiffaney Cockrell pulled over for speeding, caught with cocaine in her purse

21-year-old Tiffaney Faith Cockrell was taken into custody for driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license on June 8th. Officers observed Cockrell speeding and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, she denied having anything to drink and showed signs of impairment. Officers prompted her with sobriety tests, which she consented to and performed poorly. Under Miranda, she admitted to taking medication two days prior and to drinking the past couple of days. After being informed of implied consent, she agreed to provide a blood sample. During a subsequent search, officers located a white powdery substance in her purse, which Cockrell said she believed was cocaine because her friend had her purse. However, before the search, under Miranda, Cockrell had admitted the purse was hers. She was then detained for the occurrence.

Joshua Brewster booked for driving on suspended license since 2020

32-year-old Joshua Adam Brewster drove a black Nissan displaying expired tags near Alabama Avenue in January 2020. Officers observed this and initiated a traffic stop, where they discovered his license showed suspended status. Then, officers cited him for the violation. Brewster was booked on the citation of driving with a suspended license 4 years later on February 1st, 2024.

Jalen Transley performs U-turn across multiple lanes, crashes car attempting to flee from police

20-year-old Jalen Transley failed to use his turn signal when turning right onto Murfreesboro Road from Hamilton Church Road late January 28th. Officers observed this and initiated a traffic stop. Transley pulled over before driving off in an attempt to flee. Transley then caused a crash when he performed a U-turn across multiple lanes. Officers had ordered all occupants to exit the vehicle when Transley’s two passengers quickly jumped out of the car and fled the scene. Transley exited the vehicle but did not flee and was detained. A subsequent search of Transley and his vehicle yielded marijuana paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol. Further investigation showed Transley had a suspended license and an outstanding failure-to-book warrant. Transley was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license, an open container violation, reckless driving, the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and evading arrest.

Kathleen Condon jailed after hands-free traffic stop reveals her license is suspended

33-year-old Kathleen Condon was driving on I-65 North Friday when THP Trooper Keith Velez observed her swerving while holding a cell phone in her hand. He initiated a traffic stop due to the violation of the hands-free law, and she pulled her red Ford Escape to the right shoulder of the roadway. When asked for her license and registration, she advised her license was suspended out of Washington state. Dispatch confirmed it was suspended in October due to a DUI conviction. She was taken into custody and transported to booking.

Jeremiah Nakley charged after fleeing the scene of an accident

19-year-old Jeremiah Nakely was cited for admittedly leaving the scene of an accident on Murfreesboro Pike. Police found Jeremiah on foot and ran his license through their system to find it was suspended. Jeremiah was reportedly driving a 2008 Nissan Altima that failed to yield for an emergency vehicle running lights and sirens, causing the collision from which he fled. He was booked for the related charges on September 19th.

Joshua Collins given pre-trial release after striking a pedestrian & having no license

27-year-old Joshua Collins was reportedly part of a collision that police were called out to around 8 p.m. on September 12th. They arrived at the scene and found Joshua driving a vehicle that just struck a pedestrian. The investigation showed that Joshua’s license was suspended, and he had no insurance at the time of the accident.

Treshaun White jailed for rioting after doing donuts at street racer takeover event

25-year-old Treshaun White was reportedly seen at Bell and Blue Hole on August 12th, where a street racing event was being held. A video showed Treshaun doing donuts in his vehicle while people were close by standing and watching. Treshaun’s face was recognizable in the video, and he matched the car’s registration doing the donuts. Treshaun’s license was also reported suspended at the time of the recording.

Daylon Franklin booked on multiple outstanding citations after February crash

27-year-old Daylon Franklin Was booked last week on citations from February 24th, 2023, after he caused a car accident on Bell Road/ Murfreesboro Pike. When the police ran his license, it came back suspended. When they ran his tags, his registration returned as not on file, showing that the VIN attached to the car should have a different tag. He was issued multiple citations and failed to self-book on them, resulting in warrants being issued for his arrest.
