Mercedes Cole punches boyfriend during argument on Valentine’s Day

26-year-old Mercedes Cole was booked on February 14th for assaulting her boyfriend during an argument on Foster Place. Tariq Samad stated that when he was trying to talk to Cole, she shut the door on him. Samad then forced the door open, so Cole punched him. Officers observed a red mark on the side of his face. According to Cole, she was trying to get away from Samad so he would leave her alone. As Cole tried to close the door, Samad pushed it open, causing the door to hit her. In response to being hit by the door, Cole punched Samad. The officers asked Cole why she was trying to get away from him, but she couldn’t give a consistent answer and repeated that they were arguing. Cole could not provide evidence of threats or violence from Samad. Cole was taken into custody for domestic assault on February 14th.

Ronnie Gipson slaps girlfriend in face after she catches him cheating

Brittany Marcus told police she caught her 34-year-old boyfriend, Ronnie Gipson, cheating on her and became frustrated. She says she knocked over a lamp and broke it in her anger. In response, she says Ronnie rushed her and hit her in the face. He admitted to slapping her in the face during an interview.

Ronald Higgins assaults wife twice, upset over the music at church

65-year-old Ronald David Higgins is accused of throwing a phone which struck his wife in the face as they were “discussing the music at church,” according to the victim, Patricia Higgins. She says he remained agitated and picked up the phone from the floor and again struck her in the face, leaving bruising that was documented by responding officers.

Curtis Washum charged in assault & strangulation of juvenile brother

25-year-old Curtis Washum just moved to live with his mother in Nashville last week. On the same day he moved in, she states he became disrespectful. Police say his juvenile brother overheard him being disrespectful and told him to not speak to their mother in such a way, and Curtis pushed him and bit him in the face, and attempted to strangle the child, also causing several scratches to the child’s body, which were documented by police.

54-year-old Stuart Stein was charged with domestic assault after he pushed a fan on his girlfriend, knelt down on top of her, and then smacked her in the face several times with a toiletry bag during an argument about her vehicle, per report.
