Ethan Coles attacks brother in Nashville; his brother fought back

20-year-old Charles ‘Ethan’ Coles and his brother Daniel Coles were in downtown Nashville Tuesday when Ethan was highly intoxicated and attempted to instigate a fight with his brother. Daniel attempted to walk away to diffuse the situation when Ethan attempted to punch him in the back of the head at first and succeeded on the second attempt. In response to the attack continuing, Daniel picked up his brother and “threw him on the ground.” When he didn’t stop, Daniel then punched him in the face, leaving an injury to Ethan’s mouth. Witnesses corroborated the events, and Ethan was taken into custody.

Ellen Girmai, 18, threatens to kill her father when he won’t allow her friends over

18-year-old Ellen Girmai was arrested for threatening to kill her father after he wouldn’t let her have friends over. On Mar 3rd, officers responded to a call on Pinebrook Tr. for a domestic dispute. Girmai and her father, Haddish Woldegioris, were reportedly arguing because he wouldn’t let her have friends over. Girmai became angry and “got in her father’s face,” saying not to tell her what to do and that she would kill him. Haddish believed that Girmai would harm him and feared for his safety. Girmai was taken into custody.

Nery Chajon Franco kicks wife in face while she’s on the toilet; then attacks his son

Laura Salazar Gonzales says she was sitting on the toilet when her 35-year-old boyfriend, Nery Chajon Franco, came into the bathroom drunk and kicked her in the face. She says the argument was about who should pick up the children from school. As she fled from the toilet, Nery reportedly followed her while yelling and threatening to kill her. He chased her and her two youngest sons through the front yard, grabbed her hair from behind, and yanked her onto the ground. She says he punched her in the face multiple times and strangled her.

Another of their sons came out of the home and attacked his father with a knife sharpener to try to stop the attack on his mother. He swung at his son three times and missed each time. When officers arrived, Nery attempted to flee and jumped a neighbor’s fence.

Kenneth Jetton threatens to stab his nephew “in the bag”… his colostomy bag

Myron Jetton called Metro Nashville police late Monday night to report that his uncle, 66-year-old Kenneth Jetton, came home after a night of drinking and threatened to stab him. Specifically, he says Kenneth stated, “I’ll stab you, keep on, keep on, I’ll stab you in the bag!”… a reference to Myron’s colostomy bag.

Jason Yerel charged with domestic assault after ripping shirt off his boyfriend

18-year-old Jason Yerel is charged with the domestic assault of his boyfriend, Faren Yovany Garcia, on Wednesday morning. Police responded to their apartment, where Faren stated the couple had a verbal argument when Faren attempted to leave and Jason grabbed him to try to stop him from leaving the home, ripping his shirt in the process. Faren states he was in fear of bodily injury at that time. Jason admitted he tore the shirt off Faren, and was taken into custody.

Maplewood High student Demanuel McFarland charged with domestic assault of girlfriend

Police responded to Maplewood High School, where a 17-year-old student stated that her 18-year-old boyfriend Demanuel McFarland, who also attends the school, had grabbed her during an argument and slung her to the ground. McFarland told police he was upset about her messaging other people and took her phone from her and when he confronted her she pulled away, and he pulled her back. The victim says he also slung her to the ground at this time and pulled his arm back as if he were going to strike her, but didn’t. He was transported to booking and charged with domestic assault and given a $100 bond.

Cameron Eason charged in assault of a pregnant woman, just feet away from officers

Rayshonda Crawford, who is 8 months pregnant, says 38-year-old Cameron Eason, with who she also has a child, entered her home without permission, and that it has been an ongoing issue since he moved out two months ago. She told police when it happened this weekend, she grabbed a knife in self-defense and demanded that he leave her home. He refused and a struggle ensued over the knife, which was captured on video, and threatened to kill her. As police were investigating, Eason came back onto her property in an aggressive manner toward her, stopping just inches from her as she screamed for help from the officers he threatened to punch her in the face. Police took Eason into custody and transported him to booking.

Texas tourist charged with assault of wife at Nashville Airport — Aaron Godwin

36-year-old Aaron Vance Godwin was seen at the Nashville Internation Airport striking his wife, Jessica Donnelli. Multiple witnesses and video confirmed the assault. She told officers that he was “just angry because they were late for their flight”, and asked that police not prosecute due to his history of PTSD. Godwin was transported to booking and charged with domestic assault.

Curtis Washum charged in assault & strangulation of juvenile brother

25-year-old Curtis Washum just moved to live with his mother in Nashville last week. On the same day he moved in, she states he became disrespectful. Police say his juvenile brother overheard him being disrespectful and told him to not speak to their mother in such a way, and Curtis pushed him and bit him in the face, and attempted to strangle the child, also causing several scratches to the child’s body, which were documented by police.

Teen throws Cheetos at father, threatens to stab him, so he sends her to jail — Keldasha Blaylock

18-year-old Keldasha Blaylock was charged with domestic assault on Christmas Eve after police say she was in the back seat and threw soda and Cheetos into the front seat where her father was in the vehicle during an argument while driving in Nashville.

She then threatened to spit on the back of his head, at which point the father, Kelvin Blaylock, stopped and exited the vehicle and went to the rear door, which Keldasha had locked. She admits to threatening to stab him with a knife he continued to attempt to open the door and reached toward her waistband. The father told police he was in fear for his life, and Keldasha was taken into custody. She is free on a $1,500 bond.
