Christine Qualls punches man in face repeatedly during sex because “his lips were cold”

25-year-old Christine Qualls had a domestic dispute with her intimate partner, Christopher Idle, at his Harmony Way residence on March 25th. When the officers arrived, they spoke with Idle, who stated that they had returned from the bar and started to engage in an intimate act. During said intimate act, Idle drank some water, causing her to become angry because “his lips were cold.” Qualls then began punching him in the face repeatedly, leaving swelling to the left side of his face. Qualls told officers that there was not a physical altercation. Qualls was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Tim’Nisha Otey assaults ex-girlfriend after argument at Cumberland Market

20-year-old Tim’Nisha Otey and her unidentified friend had a domestic altercation with her ex-girlfriend, K’Sea Hill, at the Cumberland Market on the corner of East Trinity Lane and Meridian Street on March 13th. Around 9:00 a.m. on March 14th, Hill, who was at the Cumberland Inn Motel on West Trinity Lane, called the police. She informed officers of the incident at the market when they arrived.  Hill explained that she and Otey exchanged words at the market, stepped outside, and then she walked away. Hill said that when Otey and the other female drove past her, they turned around, came back, and exited the vehicle. Otey then started to hit her in the face while the other female held her down on the ground. Officers observed swelling to Hill’s upper lip. Otey was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 26th.

Amere Eadie charged after argument with man gets physical at Tennessee State University

20-year-old Amere Eadie was involved in an altercation with Jermahi Floyd at their Tate Manor apartments at Tennessee State University on March 28th. When officers arrived at the mentioned location, they made contact with Eadie in the RA’s office. Eadie was screaming and crying about being assaulted. Officers observed several bruises on her neck and a scratch below her eye. Eadie was asked what happened, and she insisted that it was an accident and that she fell, causing the marks. After further discussion, Eadie said she and Floyd were hanging out in her room. At some point, she received a call from another guy, causing an argument between her and Floyd. During the argument, Eadie said she fell. Eadie told officers that all that happened was an argument but couldn’t explain the marks on her face and neck. Officers then made contact with Floyd in the room where the altercation occurred, so he was detained to get information on the incident. Floyd denied everything and said that if Eadie said he put his hands on her, then she was lying. Officers observed defensive marks on his forearms. After communications between both parties, who was at fault could not be determined, so Amere Eadie and Jermahi Floyd were both taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Gabriel “BarberG” Murillo caught with “switch” on his handgun

28-year-old Gabriel Murillo, aka “BarberG,” was caught with an illegally modified handgun on March 28th. Officers pulled over the vehicle and made contact with Murillo and the other occupants. While talking to him, officers noticed the imprint of a firearm in his waistband. Murillo’s information was run through the state system, and officers found that he had an out-of-county outstanding Warrant. Murillo was then asked to step out of the vehicle, which led to officers observing a pistol magazine in his hoodie pocket. Officers conducted a pat down and seized Murillo’s firearm. Through further examination, officers found that Murillo’s firearm had a “switch” on it. Gabriel Murillo was taken into custody and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.

Daniel Brown throws girlfriend on ground, drags her out of hotel room at Embassy Suites

27-year-old Daniel Brown was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Serinity Evick, in their room at the Embassy Suites on March 27th. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and made contact with Evick. She informed them that Brown threw her down to the floor and dragged her out of the room. Evick then stated that she was experiencing pain in her right shoulder. Officers observed abrasions on Evick’s right elbow, right wrist, and center of her back. Shortly after, officers made contact with Brown inside his room. He told them that he “kicked out” Evick. When Brown was asked if Evick “put her hands on him,” he stated, “obviously so.” Daniel Brown was deemed the primary aggressor and taken into custody, where he was charged with domestic assault.

David McDonald assaults men, destroys window after breaking into their apartment

29-year-old David Terrell McDonald entered Laquest Ware’s and Malik Perry’s apartment without permission in the early hours of March 25th. Ware and Perry told officers that McDonald entered via their unlocked backdoor and walked into their bedroom when Ware and Perry started yelling at him. They said the argument continued into the living room, during which McDonald tried to fight Perry. McDonald then turned and swung at Ware. After the altercation ended, McDonald exited the apartment, broke the handle off an exterior door leading into the building, then broke the backdoor window of the apartment. McDonald broke one of the passenger side windows on Ware’s vehicle before the officers arrived. Ware and Perry added that he had never been there or allowed inside. McDonald was taken into custody for aggravated burglary and vandalism on March 27th.

Dakota Baker loiters outside Circle K gas station, caught with crack pipes

28-year-old Dakota Lee Baker and Edwin Meija-Alvarez were loitering outside Circle K Gas Station on Murfreesboro Pike while it was closed in the early morning of March 27th. Officers initially observed them at 12:44 a.m. in front of the store. Officers warned them that they were trespassing and that they should leave if they were not buying anything. Then, at 4:22 a.m., officers noticed the men were still standing in front of the gas station. An employee advised officers that the men had loitered on and off for the last few days at the location. Officers detained him, during which they found he had a glass pipe with burn marks. Further investigation led to officers locating three glass pipes with burn marks with chore boy stuffed inside, a plastic straw with residue, and a metal push rod. Officers believe that they may have been smoking crack. Baker was taken into custody for the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespassing.

Edwin Mejia-Alvarez loiters outside Circle K gas station multiple times

36-year-old Edwin Meija-Alvarez and Dakota Lee Baker were loitering outside Circle K Gas Station on Murfreesboro Pike while it was closed in the early hours of March 27th. Officers observed this and advised them they could only be on the property if they were conducting legal business repeatedly. Then, officers detained Alvarez because he had been warned numerous times throughout the weekend and determined his behavior would continue. Officers searched Alvarez and located a metal pipe with burnt residue, consistent with being used as a crack pipe.  Meija-Alvarez was taken into custody for criminal trespassing and the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

DUI: Samuel Nissen drinks one craft beer before crashing car on I-24 East

29-year-old Samuel Allen Nissen was involved in a two-car accident on I-24 East near exit 54 on March 24th. When detectives arrived, they spoke with Nissen and discovered he was the driver. He told them that he did not have a valid driver’s license. While Nissen was speaking, officers noticed that he showed multiple signs of impairment and asked him to take sobriety tests. Nissen consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After explaining implied consent, Nissen agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.026 BAC%. He was Mirandized and then admitted to drinking one craft beer but could not remember what size, brand, or how strong it was. Nissen was taken into custody for driving without a valid license and driving under the influence.
