Ayanna Martin threatens man with gun, tells him “You’re not going to hit me no more!”

25-year-old Ayanna Martin had an altercation with Lacharlericus McWilliams near Charles E Davis Boulevard and Green Street on July 23rd. Officers responded to reports of a woman threatening a man with a gun and located Martin and McWilliams matching the description. Then, officers spoke with McWilliams, who stated that he and Martin were at a nearby store when she asked him for her phone. He said that when he did not return it immediately, she started punching him in the face, so he pushed her and walked away. Then, Martin allegedly retrieved a handgun from her vehicle and pointed it at him, stating, “You’re not going to hit me no more!”, while waving the firearm.

Police then spoke to Martin, who told the police that she asked for her phone because McWilliams had taken it from her. Martin noted that this was when McWilliams started punching her in the face. She said that she grabbed the gun because he was hitting her and threatening to shoot her. Martin added that she did not point the handgun at him but rather was holding it at her side for protection. Overwatch was able to provide video footage of the occurrence. The footage showed Martin pointing the gun at McWilliams from across the yard. Martin was then taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Jose Sanchez helps step-brother attack step-father during argument over mowing lawn

21-year-old Jose Sanchez and his younger brother, Dariel Yournet-Nergron, had a domestic altercation with their stepfather, Jason Gramajo, at their Central Valley Drive residence late July 6th. Responding officers observed Gramajo injured and covered in blood. Then Gramajo’s wife told them that Jose and Dariel had left the scene already. Gramajo advised officers that he had asked Dariel to mow the lawn. When Gramajo arrived home from work, he saw that Dariel had not mowed it, so he started mowing it. As Gramajo did this, Dariel came outside and told Gramajo that he would do it. This sparked an argument that escalated when Dariel pushed him and started striking him repeatedly before calling Jose to assist him with the attack. When Jose arrived, he joined in and started hitting him with Dariel. Gramajo said that he did not fight back but tried to protect himself, adding that when his wife called the police, Dariel and Jose drove off. Gramajo had several injuries to his face, head, and arms, so he was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Additionally, he said that Jose threatened to kill him before leaving. Sanchez was later taken into custody for domestic assault on July 7th.

DUI: Tamra Phelps crashes her car after drinking Twisted Tea before driving

34-year-old Tamra Skylerse Phelps had a single-vehicle accident late May 4th. When officers arrived, they located her in the driver’s seat, crying and appearing to be very anxious. Officers noticed Phelps reeked of alcohol as she admitted to drinking Twisted Tea before driving. Officers observed a plastic bag with two large, empty Twisted Tea cans and a Styrofoam cup that had spilled on the passenger floor during the collision, which she stated had Twisted Tea in it. She consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and, after being informed of implied consent, agreed to provide a blood sample. Phelps was taken into custody for driving under the influence on May 5th.

Parker Glenn grabs officer’s gun during takedown

20-year-old Parker James Glenn tried to grab Officer Cheyenne Taylor’s gun during an altercation in his apartment at The Arbours of Hermitage late April 1st. Glenn had four outstanding warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, so officers went to his unit to conduct a warrant service. When they arrived, his mother answered the door and told them she would bring Glenn to the door. He came to the door and opened it about 4-5 inches. The officers then asked Glenn to step outside, but he refused and slammed the door, smashing Officer Foote’s finger and leaving it bruised and swollen. The door also hit Officer Taylor in the nose, causing it to bleed. Then, officers forced entry to apprehend him, during which he ran into his bedroom and became resistive. While he resisted, he reached for Officer Taylor’s gun, and he was detained. Glenn was taken into custody for evading arrest, resisting arrest, two counts of assaulting an officer, and four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Fiona Rust bites and latches onto hand of relative, pulls out hair, after being denied alcohol

24-year-old Fiona Rust woke up, enraged, and attacked her blood relatives after feeling threatened. MNPD spoke to Fiona’s relatives on August 11th, the date of the incident, and they said that Fiona was intoxicated and passed out on the floor. The relatives are Alexander Hoskins, Kelly Mcnally, and Megan Mcnally; each told the same story of the incident. They told Fiona that she could not have any more to drink and she passed out on the floor. After they woke her up, she became enraged and attempted to attack Megan. Alexander then stepped between the two but had his arm shoved away, got to Megan, and hit her in the ribs and forearm. Fiona then turned her sights to Kelly, whom she lunged at, bit, and latched onto her hand. Kelly was pulled to the ground by her hair, and Fiona ended her rampage by returning to her room. MNPD officers spoke to a highly intoxicated Fiona, who said she felt threatened and admitted to assaulting the three relatives. Police reported a visible bite mark on Kelly’s hand and pulled-out hair.

Jane Edwards assaults her boyfriend after finding him on a gay dating app

50-year-old Jane Edwards was jailed on Wednesday night after hitting her boyfriend because she found him on a male dating website. William Ralph showed the police video footage of Jane slamming the door on him, hitting him, and throwing several items at him. The video shows Ralph yelling, “you’re hurting me!” Jane denied any physical altercation. She says they only argued because she caught him on a male dating site.
